There was something in that thought that Sawdust latched onto, "Why would you have stuck your face in the plant though?" She asked, suddenly calmer and less stiff now that it had been silently agreed upon that, the place that shall not be named, was no longer being actively talked about.

“I dunno, to eat it or something. ‘Cuz I’m dumb.” Bakewell grinned. She probably wouldn’t have really tried to eat an unknown plant in an unknown underwater supercity location, but it seemed to be changing the mood well enough.

Sawdust blinked, there were many things she thought of automatically when she thought of other ponies. Callous, mean, cruel, Slaver, scum, but dumb wasn't one such thing. ... She looked around then at Bakewell and said quietly, "You're not Dumb." At least evidence has shown so far that she wasn't, reckless and buck happy maybe, but not Dumb.

Breeze was just ahead of last to follow the group, so she could easily hear the conversation between Bakewell and Sawdust. It piqued Gentle's interest, but she didn't say anything. Everything the two ponies said was wonderfully distracting, and she really didn't want to think about....

...nevermind, they started talking about it.

Breeze hung her head, wishing in a whisper for something to buck in the face and kill.

Lucky decided to pipe in at this point. "Hey, I know something else you're not!" He paused for a moment before saying, "You're not dead! However, if continue talking that loud, we will ALL shortly be dead, and I would prefer to NOT be dead. So, if you would please, stop talking so loudly. I'm getting this feeling like we're being watched..."

Lucky stopped for a moment, and stood stock still. The hair on the back of his neck was starting to stand on end.

He shuddered, and continued moving. "Yeah, I'm getting a bad feeling about this place the further we get into it. I say we hurry the hell up and find the others."

The group rejoined the path and quickly set off in the direction that Dawn Blaze had pointed out during his aerial foray. They engaged in chatter as they walked, the garden around them silent and unmoving. There was a feeling that the plants seemed slightly melancholy, if such a thing were possible.

Ahead in the distance, the thin red of a neon sign shone through the darkness, illuminating the husks of a few buildings beneath it.

    AUDIO DISTRICT

As the group approached and then passed under the massive sign, they were confronted with a heavy bulkhead door. After a few moments trying to open it, they discovered that it was very much shut from the other side. Just as they were about to give up and try more explosive methods, they heard a short cackle from the other side.

“Give us a moment; we’ll have this open for you in a jiffy!” a raspy voice shouted from the other side.

There was a series of clanking noises, and eventually, with a groaning noise, the door began to move. With agonising slowness, it receded to reveal a wide corridor, the floor covered in now tattered carpet over cheap floorboards – nonetheless a nice change from the dirt and gravel path they’d been walking thus far.

In front of that, though, stood three masked ponies, one almost dancing on its hooves. “Hey boss, I found ‘em!” it said with a touch of a giggle in its high-pitched voice.

“Yeah, we can see that,” said another in a raspy drone.

The third stood near a now sparking panel and turned to regard the group, breaking out into laughter as though the sight of them was somehow hilarious. “Oh, this is rich! Heh, come on, ya buncha goofs.” He suppressed another chuckle as he motioned at the group to follow.

Gentle looked at the three ponies with confusion. Half-hoping they were hostile, so that she could kick them, she decided to follow the masked pony.

Dawn lifted an eyebrow and cocked his head to one side, this place really didn't stop surprising him. At least they seemed to not be hostile........ Insane but not hostile something that Dawn was hopeful for, "your call." Dawn said, his voice muffled by his weapon yet stern none the less, turning to the group leader for direction, though he quickly looked back at the deranged ponies trailing them with his weapon....... Always waiting for his next command.

Oh, oh hell. Sawdust cringed at the masked pony's and their laughter. Her instincts were screaming at her now, these ponies were bad with a capital B. However they hadn't shot or attacked yet which meant she had to wait, wait until she saw collars, or they started yelling at them to throw down their weapons. She shimmied close to Bakewell and whispered, "This feels like a Trap."

Logic didn't fly here, she could be told everything was fine, but intuition screamed at her that giggling ponies in masks were Bad, just like the Fire throwing ones. As she slowly followed the center of of the group's mass through the door she shoves her SMG back into her mouth, ready to blast at a moments notice.

“Definitely” Bakewell muttered back to Sawdust. She let the topic of her intelligence drop; far too many ponies had tried to tell her she was smarter than the mare knew she was. Sawdust was just trying to be nice.

She still cautiously followed along with everypony else, but the voices of these native ponies certainly did not inspire trust. The unease was magnified due to Bakewell and the rest of her group seemingalmost like some kind of joke to these guys.

"At this point," Gentle Breeze muttered to herself. "I don't give a buck if it IS trap."

Breeze glared ahead of herself, not knowing exactly why she was suddenly filled with anger and not sadness and guilt.
