    Reports have been coming in recently that caravans have been going missing out to the west, and worse than that, some of the ponies that went in search of these caravans never returned.

    Those that have returned speak of a hastily built encampment, an encampment not of raiders, but slavers.

    The store owners of Stableton have had enough of late deliveries, missing supplies and dwindling trade, and have banded together to raise a bounty to remove the problem.

    The question is, who will help those desperate store owners?

    This thread will run fairly quickly. I’m aiming to have a GW post approximately every day, so I want active players. This is so we don’t have a three month long thread to deal with. So if you don’t think you can handle this sort of pace, please don’t subscribe.

    I will be using the system, which may mean there will be some teething issues. Please love and tolerate them if/when they arise.

    Finally, have fun. This is not a complex thread, but there may be complex decisions, and hopefully, I can provide a relatively vibrant tapestry upon which to RP.

    This will not simply be a first-in best-dressed affair; I will select who I wish to bring, whether to round out the party, or provide some interesting RP options.

    I am looking for about 5 intrepid volunteers.

    So step up, before those slavers decide to try and enslave Stableton, too!

    (For the record, Sanctity has sold people into slavery with his band of raiders. If you wish to use that to bite him in the flank, go ahead. Either way, there're going to be some "OH GOD WHAT HAVE I DONE?" moments here.)

    I hope i'm not too late to sign up for this. Ale would love to help get rid of slaver, after all he is a caravan guard, and would do anything to ensure the roads are safe to travel.

    or alternatively you could take my alt, bone head instead.

    His submission would go something like this:

    "Slavers, attacking caravans, damn it that's my job! No wonder the pickings have been slim lately. Sure i'll help you clear out the bastards. Just don't expect me to play nice."

    Okay.

    So this is what’s going to happen.

    Obviously Kes being a level 16 war machine would normally overshadow the level 2 V. Diesel, but I have a solution!

    I will have two groups that will follow the same general storyline (but with some nifty differences thrown in to keep each adventure somewhat unique) One group will have the higher level characters in it. The other the lower level characters. This allows for easier loot distribution, allows for everyone to participate, and I’ll be able to match combat a bit easier.

    So I thought it might be of some interest to see how the numbers are being run for the fight so far and give you a better idea of what is happening, and when. Essentially, we’re using the combat system published on the boards, and this is pretty much the first full implementation of it in use so far. There are a couple of teething issues to fix up, and some ad hoc rules patches, so don’t take any of this too seriously.

    Here’s an overly verbose breakdown of group A’s first round of combat. Some numerical elements have been concealed to protect the innocent.
