Starry glanced outside the window, which was little more than a hole in the wall with an oddly fitted chunk of cracked glass wedged into it. She seemed a little reluctant, but she was braver than she gave herself credit for.

"Well, if you really think I should go outside.." she paused, biting her lip as she considered her options. "It's maybe better than laying in bed all day again,"

Jasmine choked on air as she was taken back by the pleasant surprise. She wasn't about to question Starry- still it was almost too much for her to take in. Imagining Starry even asking to go outside was almost inconceivable at this point.

"Wow Thtarry! That'th awethome! I wath about to rethort to doing imprethionth to get you to run out!" Jasmine giggled as lowered her head and applied her hooves to her mane. She pressed her hooves to her scalp and rubbed the hair in circles furiously. When she raised her head, her mane was curly and poofy much like their mother's. A devilish smile crossed her face as she inched toward Starry.

"Don't make me do the voithe Thtarry... You'll have to go have fun if you hope to thtop the voithe!"

Jasmine raised her forearm horizontally across the front of her face. Her face was adorned with the cutest smile she could muster. As she lowered her arm in front of her, her expression made an almost flawless transition to an annoyed and sunken one.

"I'll do the voithe Thtarry...Don't make me..." The corners of her mouth cemented in place as she tried to resist a preemptive giggle.

Starry's eyebrows furrowed as she gave her sister the most threatening glare she could muster. Starry wasn't feeling particularly courageous or expressful, but some things had to be said.

"Jazz," she commanded, "Don't do the voice."

Jasmine tried her best to keep her expression cemented in place. She leaned closer to Starry keeping her eye contact. Jasmine recognized the commanding tone her sister gave her, but over estimated how therapeutic her playfulness was at this time.

"If you don't want the voithe..." Jas' voice became melodic after the brief pause. "Then you have to go outthide! ...It'll be fun-"

Starry frowned at her sister, with an 'are you serious?' sort of expression. Starry had already said she was willing to go outside, so the threats were entirely unnecessary.

To silently voice this fact, Starry trotted toward the door, with every intent on opening it. As she placed her hoof on the door, however, a sudden surge of doubt arose in her. It was as though she had just put a gun to her own head, and had a knee-jerk hesitance to pull the trigger.

Starry had already worked it out in her head; she had Shutter and Jasmine with her, she knew they wouldn't leave her alone, and this was Stableton, one of the safest towns in the wastes. There was no logical reason for Starry not to step outside, but she was afraid, and she didn't know why.

"J-Jazz," she called with clattering teeth, stepping back from the door as a frightful chill coursed through her. "Please don't do the voice."

Jasmine smiled cluelessly as Starry frowned at her. Her playful jest would surely help put Starry in a lighter mood as she left outside to go see the beautiful cloudy dusty day. Everything was going perfect it would seem, thanks to her loving attitude.

What to do next: soup to make Starry feel better, check, compliments of sweet sugary goodness, check, silly appearance for making an impersonation to make Starry feel better...

Her eyes panned to the left to look at herself in a nearby mirror. Her mane appeared quite curly and poofy after rubbing her hooves in it to mess it up. Even in the dirty reflection she could see the mane style in combination with her facial features made her look exactly like her mom. Her eyebrows drooped slightly as she realized that she looked a little more like her mom than she would like. If she wanted to look like her mom to do an impersonation, she definitely accomplished her goal... She then shook her head as she regained focus- back to helping Starry.

Silly appearance for impersonation...check. Suddenly she noticed that it appeared that Starry was playing back with her. It also seemed that though she said not to do the voice, perhaps she was egging her on? Now its time for the voice! Her face drooped once more into a depressed and borderline annoyed expression. Her lips slowly parted as she produced a tone deaf and high pitched screech like voice.

"Thtarry! Why don't you want to go outthide! Are you going to keep in your room learning thcienthe all day?! How WIERD!"

Hey Shutter, Jasmine. I'm sorry to say, but I'm going to have to abandon this thread. It's not been progressing at a smooth pace, and has grinded to a halt well beyond it's time.

I'm going to summarize the ending and say that Starry is eventually persuaded to leave the house, and she speaks to some of the ponies around Stableton.

Sorry this thread was never completed.
