The AJ Ranger

Note: Okay so I know that this character has like almost no chance of being accepted, but hey I like to show off things I put a lot of work into, and this character is well one of those things, White Thunder, the Applejack Ranger with gender issues. P.S. I also wanted to show off the Power Armour I drew.

==Armour==
Steel Ranger Armour: Steel Ranger armour is used by Earth Ponies and Unicorn members of the Steel Rangers. A unicorn has to cut off their horn to wear a helmet. The armour has a built in talismans that made it far superior to regular combat armour. For example, the Steel Ranger power armour comes with a built in regenerative talisman, that converts scrap metal, inserted into a port on the armour into usable metal that repairs/regenerates the armour.
The helmets have a built-in E.F.S/Eyes Forwar Sparkle spell, which help's a pony wearing the armour to detect potential threats. A respirator is also built into the helmets, on a pony's muzzle section which filters in clean air. Steel Ranger armour, typically has heavy ballistic weaponry fitted into the battle saddle, like grenade machineguns.

Steel Ranger armour also has powerful pistons built into the legs and joints, which provide more powerful physical attacks. An opponent that specializes in hoof to hoof combat, wearing Steel Ranger power armour can be a particuarly deadly opponent.

Steel Ranger power armour is notably vulnerable to EMP technology, especially EMP grenades.Applejack Rangers paint their armour apple red to signify their defection to the Applejack Rangers.

==Weapons==
(She can't change her weapons, they are mounted to her Armour and when they run out of ammo they run out of ammo)

-Ranged-
1FF Drum-Fed Shotgun: A 12 gauge twin barrelled masterpiece that fires in a semi-auto fashion. At a distance the gun loses its effectiveness, so it is advised to save it for fighting in closed in areas like buildings.

P79-SP Auto Cannon(Urban Scythe): This weapon is one of the more common upgraded versions of the Grenade Machine gun, graded just under the 'Dragon Slayer' models that are usually issued to higher ranked personal. The 'Urban Scythe' fires 20mm rounds usually filled with an explosive core, finding ammo for this weapon on dead enemies is impossible as the bullets are only manufactured for AJ Rangers. It has a better range and fire rate than the 25mm G-machine gun and holds a total of 250 round in a drum magazine on the users back. It should also be noted that this weapon was intended to be used with power Armour only, so it down not have mounts for battle saddles or a conventional trigger system to be used by unicorns.

-Close Combat-
Pneumatic Power Hooves: These weapons are configured on Thunder's Armour in the apple-buck configuration, one on each rear hoof. They have two purposes, one being to add extra support to Thunder's frame as she fires the P79-SP Auto Cannon, they fire down into the ground and hold her steady as she fires. The second use is to add an extra lethal kick to her rear hooves when in combat.

==Personality==

Outwardly, White Thunder is the ideal knight, she is noble and chivalrous to a fault. Inwardly however she has a talent for for brutal violence that she finds disturbing. Her mentor taught her to turn this to her favour – to end fights as quickly as possible, causing less suffering overall. This unusual philosophy has kept her nature in check but Thunder remains concerned over her own strength; adhering herself stringently to the knights code she surrounds her self with structure and routine to keep herself in control.

Thunder is also large for a mare her age, she is often mistaken for a buck when in her Armour because of her frame and that the suit deepens her voice when talking through the helmet. Having never had to distinguish her gender she never thinks much of it when she is referred to as a male, her Holo tags even say her gender is male. This has lead to her having a confuse sexuality, as she does not know what to say when a mare thinks she is dreamy.

==History==

Thunder was born into a warlike clan called the Highlanders, her father was one of the chieftains and strongest fighters of his village. The Highlanders where known to be fighters, they where around before the war and have always been known to be great fighters. Her father would have had the chance to rise to the head chief of all of the villages had he not decided to attack a Ranger company to show his power in battle. While the Rangers where initially pushed back by the ferocity of the Highlanders they managed to hold until reinforcement came and helped them wipe the attackers out. Thunder was found back in the village by a Paladin named Distant Thunder, Thunder was still very young, barely even several months old so Distant took her in as her own foal, giving her the name Thunder and White for the streaks that ran through her mane.
Distant discovered that because of Thunders bloodline she was very violent by nature and so she gave her an output through training and teaching her to use her own power in a way to cause as little damage as possible.
When she came of age she joined the order under her adoptive mothers sponsorship and trained to be a full fledged knight. On the day she completed her training she received her first set of armour and joined a squad.
She would have been a great paladin had she ever been given the chance to rise through the ranks but her violent tendencies have held her back, to the point that she is currently only assigned to solo missions,given a rank of Freelance Knight so she is given a leniency to do as she wants.

one thing why this wont be accepted, the site takes place 10 years before the original F.o.E. but you can have it as a NPC in a future thread, But as a regular ranger. you can make a story where she met all of us and became a AJ ranger. but with any way, she still come out in the site but as a Steel Ranger.

and belive or not i was going to also start as a Steel Ranger lol, already had drawn the pic and had everything done lol

Well she doesn't have to be an AJ ranger (would have to edit her symbol on the Armour though -_-) Having her as a Steel Ranger would still work as she is basically a Star Paladin without the rank of Paladin, this means she is free to do what she wants but still has to reports to the elder when needed. I'll go edit the AJ Ranger stuff and fix the picture though.

ok thats cool just remember she can appear, only as a NPC but its still cool to have this character out in the site and stuff. never easy to get something approved, i know

Starting off as a Steel Ranger is still a bit iffy. One would probably have to RP on the site for quite some time and build up a reputation for being a good RP'r with the admins before it was considered to pass through.

But like Sky said, you can always make her a normal SR NPC or some such.

Well I never intended to go far with this, I just wanted to create the character is all, but yeah I can use her as an NPC if the need arises.
