    Violet Star [Unicorn] Empty Violet Star [Unicorn]

    Post by Violet Star Sun Sep 09, 2012 11:10 pm

    ==Basic Information==
    Name: Violet Star
    Age: 15
    Gender: Female
    Race: Unicorn
    Occupation: Nopony Knows
    Level: 5

    ==Physical Description==
    Picture: Violet Star [Unicorn] TerrifyingPony-1
    Violet Star [Unicorn] Violet_by_atta_crossroads-d4zxv52
    Cutie Mark: A cloaked hood with two, silver, cartoonish eyes inside, one of them winking.

    ==Personality==
    Violet is not a normal pony. At all. Most ponies who knew her would describe her as crazy, erratic, and/or nutters. And, well, she’s all those things. It’s suspected that the accident did something to her brain, as while before she was a normal filly, afterwards she was ‘That damn crazy girl’. She has little concept of personal space, goes wherever she likes (Whether she should or not), and tends to appear in odd places, with nopony knowing how she got there. Like that one time she was found on the top of town hall even though there’s no easy way of getting up there unless your a pegasus.

    She also tends to shrug off things that would make a normal pony wet themselves and run. Raiders? Slavers? Hellhounds? Alicorns? She all views it like a fun little game. That’s not to say she’s stupid, far from it, and she can be cautious when she needs too, but otherwise it’s like she has no sense of fear.

    However, she has a bit of a...violent, mindset. She has killed before, several times in fact. However, she only kills ponies who she deems are sufficiently ‘mean’, which usually is only raiders and slavers (Or any ponies that try to kill her). Slavers to her are the worse, being ponies who constantly and frequently destroy the lives of other ponies, and the worse of them, the ones who have destroyed dozens of lives, she takes great pleasure in brutally killing them. Beyond the worse slavers however, her killing is quick and pragmatic.

    When she meets a mean pony that isn’t quite mean enough to be killed or maimed, but still need something done to them, she uses less drastic tactics. This usually involved scaring and terrifying the mean ponies, with the level of terrifyingness depending on the severity of the meanness. Sometimes she takes more...creative measures, which usually ends up with the unfortunate method waking up tied up and/or in an awkward position.

    Of course Violet is a mischievous pony, so she does extend her scaring ‘antics’ to ponies she didn’t think were mean, and even her friends. Of course this was far less ‘intense’ than the scaring she gave to mean ponies, as she doesn’t intend to terrify her friends when she does this, although sometimes she goes a bit overboard (Such as the infamous ‘Bonesaw Incident’). And of course, when she still lived in Friendship City none of this helped the growing mistrust and fear of her.

    Despite her questionable sanity, Violet’s still a good pony deep down. She’d often use her magic sight to help people, usually at the hospital where she could identify what was wrong with her sight to a remarkable degree of accuracy. And if she decides that you’re her friend, she’ll be loyal to the end.

    She’s rarely seen without a wide, sometimes toothy smile on her face, and as stated above, and loves to cause mayhem and mischief, especially at the expense of ‘mean ponies’.

    ==History==
    For a good chunk of her life, Violet Star was a pretty average filly. Lived with her parents in Friendship City, played with the other foals, tried to perform unicorn magic, get her cutie mark, etc etc. You know, normal pony stuff.

    That all changed when, at the age of 10, on a dare she snuck out of the city, managing to make it past the guards without getting caught. As she silently congratulated herself outside the city limits, a cloaked hood with a pair of winking eyes appeared on her flank, her cutie mark. She hopped around in joy at finally getting her own cutie mark, not seeing the patch of previously-undiscovered tainted earth she was getting dangerously close too. She fell in, the twisted magical energies of the taint almost instantly sapping her strength, she couldn't move or make any attempt at getting out. Her parents soon went out searching for her, and to their horror discovered her moaning and dying in a puddle of tainted goo. They quickly used their magic to get her out, and rushed her back to Friendship City.

    Luckily Friendship City’s doctors have quite a bit of experience with taint, and managed to revitalize Violet, practically bringing her back from the dead. Unfortunately, it didn’t come without a cost. Violet was made permanently blind by the accident, her irises reduced to colorless grey orbs by the taint. Nothing could be done to repair her dead eyes. Curiously, her cutie mark changed to match her eyes, the cartoonish eyes taking on a similar, silver color.

    Her parents were shattered by the news, but the filly seemed less...bothered, by it. What should've been a tragic, life-changing event didn’t seem to have the effect on her that it would on a normal pony. This was the first sign that she more than her eyes were changed by the accident.

    However, while the doctors thought that would sadly be the end of it, the taint did more than just take away her vision and mess up her brain, it also mutated her in a way nopony had ever seen before. The mutation started small, unnoticeable, but soon after Violet was out of the hospital, it started to grow. A few months later, her mother woke her up one morning to find that her eyes were glowing a soft silver, followed by an exclamation from the filly about being able to see. The filly’s eyes were mutating to give her this ‘Magical Sight’ of sorts. None of the doctors in the city could figure out how it worked.

    As Violet aged, her ‘Magic Vision’ grew more powerful. At first, she could only make out things close to her, but as time went on the range and clarity of her vision only got better. By the time she was 13, her vision extended to 100 meters, and she could see with an incredible level of clarity. However, the vision had limitations. She can’t see past 100 meters, and the further something is away the harder it is to make out. At 50 meters, her sight has a similar level of clarity to a normal pony’s vision, and it gets even worse further out. She also can’t use things like telescopes or binoculars, as those work based on bending light and her eyes don’t work like that anymore. However, on the flip side, she can see in the dark better than anything else, there wasn’t even a difference between light and dark to her. She can see through objects or walls at ranges of roughly 10 meters if she concentrates, and even at even closer distances, say, a foot, she can see the detail contents of a complex objects, like, say, a pony’s body. Her vision at that close of a distance is so good, that when she concentrates she can make out the individual organs and blood vessels in a pony’s body, even nerve clusters. After she found out she could do this, she’d often donate her time to the city’s hospital, using her vision to help doctors find out what’s wrong without opening up a pony. This was especially helpful if a unicorn with a diagnosis spell wasn’t around. She learned quite a bit about medicine doing this.

    Despite her help in the clinic, the ponies of Friendship City, ironically enough, grew distrustful and afraid of Violet due to her mutation and erratic behavior. Even her own parents began to talk about their daughter behind her back, and not in a friendly way. The only ponies in the city who saw past her slight-craziness where the doctors she had been helping, but despite that Violet could tell that she wasn’t wanted by much of the city. So, she packed up her things, but some supplies with the caps she had earned, and left Friendship City, possibly for good. She set out into the wasteland, hoping to find something fun to do and maybe a few friends.
