J'arra is a stoic individual, with an unshakable belief in the spirit of the wastes, and an even stronger belief that his daughter Lily is alive and well. He is deeply religious, and prays to the spirit before and after every battle, in the morning and evening, before every meal, and after every kill.
He is a rather kind pony towards children, and will often go out of his way to help a foal. He is abstinent since the death of his wife, and finds neither male nor female companionship more welcome that that of a child. However, he is a heavily biased pony towards slaver, raiders and general miscreants, judging and dispensing justice as he sees fit.
Some have nicknamed him the Arm of the Wasteland, and the Grim Preacher.
==History==
The day Lily was born was the happiest and saddest day in J'arra’s life. He loving wife Clouded Sky died soon after due to a complication, and he was left all alone with the infant zony. She also almost passed away, but his love for her and the timely arrival of the village doctor saved her life.
He was the village priest, the religious leader of an abandoned church that prayed to the spirit of the wasteland. It might have been a foolish endeavor, but it gave them hope, and in the end, that was enough.
He swiftly grew protective of tiny Lily, and was with her every moment that he wasn’t working. However, that soon proved to be not enough.
One morning, while he was giving a sermon, a small band of slavers passed the town. They happened upon the village foals playing in a field, and stole them away. Although J'arra and many of the townsfolk searched high and low, they never found hide nor hair of their young.
After that, J'arra left the village. He prayed to the spirit of the wastes and was rewarded with a vision of his daughter calling out to him. Since then, he has walked the path set before him, never faltering, and never giving up. His daughter is alive, somewhere out there, and just waiting for him to find her and bring her home.
