The hunt for Waldo

Sky felt the big dragon pull her up onto his back, Sky was kinda freaked by it but soon regained her composure as he flew into the air. She did look a little freaked out, she gave the dragon a glare when he spoke but she smiled right after that. As he was right, She did want to leave the town and fast. Sky checked her pipbuck map, They seemed to be going in the right direction.

"Yeah your spot on, just keep going that way and we should make it there in no time." Sky said to Sparkfire as she was on his back, she seemed to be more friendly with him than even someponies she knew. Why did he seem so different from ponies, he was already friendly enough to her. Sky just smiled as she stayed on his back, while they went to the location.

Sparkfire continued his flight under Sky's direction, but could not shake the feeling that they were being followed... Finally he couldn't take it anymore.

"Sky, can you check the clouds?"

Sky nodded to the dragon and from his back took of while he flew, "Sure thing." she did a quick scan of the clouds and what revealed were Mercs, 2 pegasus ponies and a gryphon. Sky had no idea where they came from and it seemed they had followed, "Spark we got 2 pegasus mercs and a gryphon, coming in real fast." Sky exclaimed as she flew right next to him, they needed to take em out.

(Shoot at the pegasus ponies, hunting rifle, x2, Guns 100,) AP or the 3 action rule?

Sparkfire clumsily continued flying, not worried that the bullets would harm him but rather his business partner, all the while performed terribly at being a stable firing platform.

He could not help to look over his shoulder, Sky had just taken off, mane blowing in the wind. Her face fierce with determination and gusto. He never noticed how the light reflected off her eyes... Bullets pelted his hide, as if to shake him of his daydream.

"Err... Right, I'll draw their fire!" He said as he gave her more room to maneuver.
[Flight 30, Evade the incoming fire]

As Spark tried to evade the incoming fire, bullets form the gryphons cowpony repeater hit spark but were deflected off from his scales as were one of the pegasus ponies 10mm smg rounds. When those two mercs were too busy to attack spark the other pegasus noticed Sky and got 6 shots off her 10mm smg, But they were deflected off Sky's security armor.

now it was Sky's turn who with her hunting rifle, managed to get a shot off and actually kill the pegasus. Sky looked around and shot at the other pegasus chasing spark, she managed to hit and kill that one too. which left the gryphon still chasing spark, with nothing else to lose.

2 pegasus mercs dead, the gryphon merc still alive and chasing spark. hunting rifle crits killed them both, :)

Sky sure felt sore after the bullets hit her armor but luckily none of the bullets penetrated, she felt relived her armor is was useful. Now all she needed was more gryphon, who was to busy giving chase to spark. She got her hunting rifle and aimed at the gryphon.

Sparkfire could feel every last bullet pelt his hide, granted they wouldn't pierce his dragon scales but it did not stop it from being annoying. Still he reminded himself that for every bullet shot at him, it was not shot at his friends, and that made it tolerable.

He was tempted to pull up and wrestle the griffon mid-air or even charbroil the bastard... but he had a role to play, and it was one he did very well... bait.

[Flight 30, continue flying and trying to evade the incoming fire]

The gryphon zeroed in on to the dragon in his sights, but in a split second the gryphon was shot not once but twice. The first shot mortally wounded the gryphon but the second shot pretty much killed the bird attacking the dragon, And now no one else was left to attack them.

Sky pulled back the bolt to her hunting rifle and looked around to see spark, "Hey spark, I think we got them all." Sky said as she flew to him with the hunting rifle, "I think we should keep on going to go get waldo." Sky said as she flew right next to him.

Sparkfire's back was a little sore, nothing permanent just discomforting. "Yeah, the sooner the better..."

He looked to Sky, her mane blowing in the wind, her face strained as she focused on flying and not the bruises forming on her back. "You should get back on my back, I don't want you worn out if we have to do some serious fighting."

"We were lucky that those bandits had such low caliber weapons. Both Sky and I could shrug off the rapid stings thanks to our respective armors but what was going to happen when our luck ran out?" He mused

Sky smiled as the Spark would actually let her get on his back to rest while he flew, she did feel a bit sore from the flying. She noticed how Spark was actually nice to her, "Yeah sure, and your probably right. Our luck might run out, but will be ready for anything that comes out way." Sky said back to the dragon as she landed on his back, "I doubt they wont expect a dragon to come after them." Sky chuckled a bit, her and spark were a good team.

Sparkfire chuckled back, "I guess not..." the rest of the flight was quiet, he could hear Sky resting on his back and it was strangely comforting to have her there.

Eventually the open road became full of buildings and cluttered streets. "We getting close Sky because I don't like the idea of flying in a ruined city, just bound to run into something."

Sky rested on Sparks back, she felt it was nice gesture and for some reason she felt weird being with him. But she liked it and during the entire time she laid on his back? She didn't why but some during the flight she actually was near sleep and hugged him to stay on.

Sky looked around to where they were going, buildings and other streets came into view. The idea of them running out of luck set through her mind. "Yeah i dont like this either, Maybe we should land on the street or building. Never know when they might pick us of while we are flying." Sky said to Spark about her fear of being shot while flying.

Sparkfire nodded, being shot out of the sky was worse then being shot at on the ground... gravity was a harsh mistress...

It did not take long for him to find a small shack to land near by and to get his bearing.

"Alright, while I was landing, I noticed a small group of ponies wearing a red knit cap, too clean to be raiders... I think they are on Waldo's Payrol. If you are up to it, I think we can take them..." he said in a hushed tone.

"I think we can also, but we need hit them by surprise." Sky said in a hushed tone, "If they don't look like raiders then they must be part of his payroll, we need to hit them hard and fast so Waldo doesn't know about us." Sky said as she pulled out her hunting rifle, ready to attack the group.

Sparkfire nodded, "ready when you are Sky." he said as he mentally picked out which ponies he wanted to tackle, and which ponies he would block Sky of.

Slowly he crept forward, after all he would need to be closer if he did not want to get pinned down...

Sky with her hunting rifle crept along the side of the building, she picked out a target ready to fire, "Got it spark." Sky whispered to spark as she saw him creep along towards the group. Sky steadied her rifle and fired the first bullet, to give spark enough time to flank them.

Sparkfire crept along the ruined shack, silent as death, listening to the idle conversation of the group. Timing his movements so their chat would cover up any disturbances. 

One of the smaller ponies wearing a red cap began to speak "did ya hear what da boss did to Copper Hoof for breaking his rediculous dress code? Said if he wouldn't wear his red cap he would make his head red. Colt mouthed off to him and Bam, Waldo just pointed at him and BAM! His head exploded."

"don't be rediculous, you just don't point a ponies and BAM!" right at that moment, Sky shots rang through that ponies skull, exploding it into a rain of gore. 

Sky ejected her rounds as the ponies skulls exploded, and loaded a new new round into the chamber of the weapon. In no time she was ready to shot another .308 round through another pony, with the group distracted with her. Spark has a chance to attack them with their back turned and focused on her, this small group of mercs are dead in no time.

Sparkfire took advantage of the distraction Sky was causing and charged into an unsuspecting pony, then again what pony expects a dragon to come barreling atop of you from a darkened alleyway?

One of the ponies gathers his wits about him and tries to shout, only to have a Dragon smash into him, stifling him from raising an alarm. Sky attempting to silence the noisy pony, tries to line up a shot, but Sparkfire is not giving her a clean lane of fire. While his dramatic enterance spooked one pony indecision engough to not dodge the incoming tail swipe, another pony, thinking quickly activates his battle staddle and fires his Carbine at Sparkfire's side, landing a sure hit. The dragon's eyes go wide with legitimate pain, but surprise then fear overtakes him.

Sky sighed as she didn't get a shot but spark taking the charge was a change of pace, so she tried to line up another shot. Her hunting rifle was ready to fire, she wanted to take out the pony with the battle saddle who hurt spark. She wasnt going to let him get hurt, she will help out her friends.

Sparkfire, trying to ignore the fact that these ponies can hurt him with their weapons, changed tactics. From simply occupy and distract till Sky could Take them out, to Divide and immolate. Mainly divide the pony he had pinned and immolate his remains, despite how gruesome it was, some part of him loved doing it...

Sky in the blink of a second shot a new .308 round at the raider with the battle saddle, her shot hit the raider square in the chest. The raider dropped to the floor in a coughing fit, the damage of a .308 wont give him time to stand and fire at spark.

With a hard hitting pony down, it gave Spark Enough time to attack and kill his target, that is pinned underneath him. Which is what Spark did, his claws did what no pony should live through. With a deep Slash with his claw, he tore on the insides of the pony he pinned. The pony could only scream in terror as this was a great pain the raider nor anypony should feel, but Spark wasnt finished yet. The big dragon had another thought on his mind, he put a one claw on one of the ponies forehooves and his other claw on the other. He began to stretch out the raiders forhooves, they began to tear and snap at the intense stretching of Sparks pull on the raide4rs forehooves. Til he tore them out, then he still grinned at the raider with no forehooves. How the raider still lived was a mystery, but Spark now wanted to have dinner with the legs he just got. He breathed in and shoot out flames on the raider, the raider screamed like foal. A sound anypony actually hears from true pain, the pain of being burned alive is one a pony should never go through.

As soon as Spark had finished the third raider with the cowpony repeater shot at spark, but his hard scales and thick hide deflected all the bullets.

Sky ejected the spent casing from her hunting rifle and loaded the new one in the chamber, this next round she was ready to kill. One bullet at a time for a kill that will come greatly rewarded, but Sky couldn't comprehend what Spark did to that raider. He basically ripped him apart and lit him on fire, while he was alive. The scream of the raider will never leave her, but right now they had to kill these ponies. Later she could talk with spark about that or just dont mess with him, but for some reason she felt happy that she was able to stop the battle saddle pony from attacking Spark further. Now she needed to finish the job and kill the pony with the battle saddle.
