Answer the Call [closed]

Atiark unslung his rifle from his back. He didn't need E.F.S. to see that they were outnumbered. But he did use his EFS to make sure. Eight baddies.

"Well Tesla... I don't know..." The zebra admitted. "Uh... Okay here's what we'll do. I'll start firing from a prone position, get them focusing on me. You can take my SMG if you want and go off some distance. Ambush them while they are focused on me."

The zebra medic looked at the markers on his EFS. It had moved from following Tesla to pointing at the captives not too long ago. Confusion didn't even begin to explain Atriark. He had no idea how the pipbuck worked and had long since given up questioning it.

Laying down, he took aim at the slaver he believed was the leader. Out of all the times to wish for a scope, now was one of those.

Rad noticed the sun was fully up now, so dropped to the floor. He began crawling low across the ground, believing it would make him sneakier, but in reality just making him look silly. Reckless as he was, he knew better than pushing his luck with how close he got, so he stayed a comfortable distance away, lying in some patches of tall grass, and listened to the shouting of the slavers, he saw one begin to un-chain the slaves. "Guess that mean there gonna be headed off soon." Rad didn't know what to do, as far as he knew he was the only one that knew about these slavers... And if they left, he might not be able to get help in time.

Rad looked about, hoping to see somepony else nearby, but saw nothing, mainly because of the grass around him limiting his sight to anything but the slavers, but he needed to try keep his obvious mane hidden as best he could.

Scrap saw the pegasus swoop down, but not close to who she belived to be the slavers. It landed a bit away, was it hiding from the slavers? She would have to get closer to find out, her E.F.S. was useless at this range. Scrap Box tried to sneak around to the same side as the other pegasus, keeping to the shadows and cover.

When she finally got in range, her pipbuck gave her some good news, friendly. She wanted to walk right up to the other pony, but that would be suicide for her, and murder for them. So for now, she kept herself back. Looking at her E.F.S. every so often to make sure that the other pony was still there.

Hmmm...? What is this...? Coming down from the always cloudy skies, Sound Wave perched himself a rather large rock. It was a pretty rock, not like all the other rocks. This rock was biiig and it was in the shape of a heart! Awwww it likes to love! "I'll call you Tom!" The Pegasus affectionately hugged the huge slab of rock, solid earth before giving it a light nuzzle.

"Excuse me Tom but I think I see something!" Patting the rock with a hoof, the Pegasus peeked out from the corner of his new rock and quickly his entire demeanor changed. From being all bubbly and cheery, Sound Wave now looked downright serious. Narrowing his eyes he spied upon the group that had camped next to the tree. There was a pained cry coming from the general direction of the tree.

His eyes narrowed further, he hated slavers. The mere thought of them made his blood boil, especially the ones who kick the slaves around. Leaning forward to get a better look, his vision could catch a glimpse of a black and white striped pony tied to a tree! Wait is that a Zebra!? The only Zebra he knew Ark and... no it must be some other zebra... but what if...? Woah wait someone else was there... it was.. another pegas- SKY!

Silently, the Pegasus withdrew his 9mm, cocked it and spread out his wings before taking flight, his cyan form rising towards the clouds before disappearing in the cloudy gray mass... Several seconds later, there was a twinkle in the sky! A Twinkle in the sky!? But it was still day time!

"GEEEEROOOONIIIMOOOOOOOO!!!!!!" He screamed, his wings were stiff as he dive bombed from the skies, his winged form plummeting towards the band of slavers below. His pistol exploding as he fired off several shots.

"Thanks, I'll bring it right back." Tesla said, grabbing his friends 9mm SMG, with a levitation spell. The unicorn galloped off towards the river.

As the gun smith ran, his hooves pounding against the ground, his heart pounding, he jumped back in surprise as in the sky, the pony saw a light blue blur streak past him. With the blur came the sounds of gunfire, and an unmistakeable yell, "GEEEEROOOONIIIMOOOOOOOO!!!!!!"

Tesla could only facehoof as he realized who it was...Soundwave. {Really Sound? Thats your plan? Fly head long into the Slavers guns ablazing? Then again, its just as reckless and stupid as Ark's and I's, meh it certainly does make a good distraction.}

Galloping once again, this time, Tesla slid to a stop behind a rock overlooking the Slaver's and their prey. Raising up his borrowed submachine gun. The unicorn took careful aim down the iron sights. Picking out a slaver who had strayed from the group, Tesla calmed his breathing, as he let out a long exhale, the pony pulled the trigger, sending out a burst of rounds at the slaver, sending a storm of bullets at his target.

Lightning's ears would perk up as he heard another pony shouting. Looking around, he wondered who could be yelling like that. His gaze would eventually turn skyward as he saw a bright blue pegasus diving straight down at the slavers. The red and purple-ish colored mane was unmistakable to him. It was Sound Wave.

Looks like Lightning wasn't the only pegasus to respond to the distress call. The only problem now, Sound Wave was going to ruin the element of surprise. But that only begged the question, did any other ponies come to help and if they did, where were they? No time for that now, Sound was going to get himself killed if he didn't intervene soon. Putting a slaver in the middle of his crosshairs, the pegasus slowed his breathing and fired one shot at him before quickly changing targets and firing off another shot at another pony that he believed to be the leader.

Gunner was still one miles or two from where the raider camp was supposed to be, but he was progressing carefully. If those slavers had sentries, running into them alone would be bad.

Then the stallion heard gunshots in the distance, a lot. Were the slaver under attack, or where they attacking someone ? Gunner started to run in the direction of the shoot-out : if they were fighting, they would be to occupied to notice him running.

Scarp Box was watching the little blip on her E.F.S. of the friendly pony in front of her. She then heard from over the grumbling of the slavers, "GEEEEROOOONIIIMOOOOOOOO!!!!!!" Seeing a blue blur dash down at the camp, Scrap Box face hoofed. 'Oh Goddesses, why would any pony do that?' She tightened the grip on her pistol and launched into the air, then rushed past the friendly blip and found a few new unfriendly marks. She baslted off four shots at the closest slaver, then flew straight up as fast as she could.

Rad had been watching when his attention was caught by some madpony diving towards the slavers guns blazing, then all hell seemed to break loose. It seemed he wasn't the only one here after all, another pegasus even flew straight over him and began firing. So Rad decided he should get stuck in too, and took flight and joined the other pegasus in the air. "Hey there! Lets get these guys eh? Hahah!!" Rad then pulled his gun and started firing. He tried to target one slaver, but focused more on spraying lead than taking aim.

Atriark watched his friend take his SMG and trot off. The stable dweller laid prone and crept along the hill until he reached it's crest. Taking out his binoculars, the zebra medic buck looked through them. He saw a pony with a beat up looking hat, and shades on, wearing a merc outfit harrassing a zebra. Atriark set his binoculars aside, drew his hunting rifle, and took aim.

Before he could fire though, some gryphon shouted "geronimo". Quickly, Atriark took aim, inhaled, held his breath, and pressed on the trigger.

Suddenly, all hell broke loose! A pony dove from the sky and pelted a slaver with bullets. Another pony then open fired and hit the same slaver with their shots. (Sound+Tesla's shots) Down went the slaver, wounded badly, and dying, but not dead quite yet. Definitely out of the fight, however. But just before that, the pony with the shades who had been harassing the slaves' head suddenly exploded! (Atriark's kill) His corpse fell decapitated to the ground. Then, a sniper shot from nowhere clipped the leader slaver's neck. (Lightning's shot) The bullet took a chunk of flesh out, and wounded him terribly. He went down, but wasn't out yet, as he turned and began to fire at the diving pony with his machine gun, hitting him once. Then, the slaver who had gone to unlock the chains turned up and fired at the diving pony, hitting him once as well. (Sound loses 20 hp)

By then, the other slavers had began for cover and started to fire back. Another sniper shot flew in and put a hole in a slaver's face. (Lightning's kill) Some fire went back and forth, and another slaver took a few bullets and was wounded, but continued to fight. (Scrap+Rad's shots) The rest of the slavers were confused, and didn't know where to shoot! They had been caught off guard, and were in disarray. They simply took up cover and fired wildly ahead, missing any further targets.

Cuppa had been stood perfectly still, waiting for the Slavers to get ready to go, the mention of a base made Cuppa think about the potential of trying to rescue others who were caught. But the moment she thought about it, bullets flew through the air and shattered the idea like the bullet that tore off a slaver's head, almost right next to her as a matter of fact.

As the slavers started to fire back, the unicorn ducked down and tried to usher the others out of the way of the fire. "C'mon everypony, whoever these guys are, they're tryin' ta help. If we're in t' way, they can't help us."

A slaver fell down as his body was riddled with bullets.. wait.. that's strange there were more holes than bullets he'd fired. But that doesn't matter right now, he had some friends to save!

"Damnit!" The Pegasus cursed as a bullet went straight into his Cannon, blood spraying out from the entry wound as the bullet dug into his flesh. Gritting his teeth around his pistol a bit, Sound wave quickly took aim at the slaver who had shot him and unleashed a triple burst from his pistol in return! Flaring his wings wide, the Pegasus began to brew up some winds, using the dirt to his advantage and to try and blow them into the Slavers' ey- *CRACK*

Suddenly one of the Slaver's head exploded! Blood and grey matter splattered everywhere in a disgusting gory mess. What the buck!? Suddenly Pegasi swooped in from almost all directions Guns a blazing as the Slavers started to scramble around in confusion. Where the hell did all these ponies come from!?

"Yeeee-haaaaww!!! Calvalry's arrived!" The Pegasus whooped, quickly taking to the skies as he fired off a couple of more rounds into a slaver!

The rest of the world almost melted away as Lightning focused on one thing and one thing only. His shots. After he knew his two shots hit their mark, the rest of the world began to melt back into his consciousness, realizing soon after that he wasn't the only pony fighting. Using his scope, he caught the sight of Tesla firing an SMG. Looking away, he also caught the sight of other pegasi in the air, attacking the slavers as well.

In Lightning's opinion, they could use all the help they could get. Aiming his rifle at another slaver, the pegasus slowed his breathing and...BANG. With a quick flick of his hoof, he recocked the bolt to release the spent cartridge before taking aim at the next slaver, a bullet flying out of his gun soon after.

There where more and more gunshots, and as Gunner approached the last broadcast they grew louder and louder. Whoever was fighting the slavers, they must give them a lot of trouble.

Then the clearing was finally into view of the stallion. A group of weary pony that were certainly the slaves was huddled near a tree, and Gunner was surprised to see Sky among them. Some ponies not far from them that seemed to be the slavers were returning fire to their assailants, but some they already had casualties laying on the ground, dead or dying. Then the earth pony looked at the other group of fighter and recognized Sound and Lightning in the air, as well as Tesla and the zebra doctor, Atriark, on the ground. There was also some other ponies attacking the slavers that Gunner didn't recognize, but anyone trying to free slave was ok in his book.

After grasping the situation, and seeing that the captives weren't chained, Gunner thought that the best course of action would be to discretely get the slave out of here while their captors were busy. Getting his plan into motion, the stallion sneaked close to the slave and tried to get their attention.

Sky just ducked with all the incoming fire she didn't want to be hit by a stray bullet, she was scared to death. And with the collar on her neck, she remembered this was like that time long ago. She saw alot of ponies were here to attack the slavers, it looked like the zebras message did get out to a some ponies.

Atriark knew he had aimed the shot right, but he hadn't known that he aimed that well. Quickly cycling the bolt, Atriark shoved a new round into the chamber, and took aim again. He aimed for the closest one to the zebra again. Inhaling deeply, the zebra made sure he was on his target. Holding his breath, he pushed the trigger.

Rad laughed as he saw the slavers thrown into disarray. "Not so great when the tables are turned eh!!! Well ya chose the wrong time to be the bad guys!! Take some more of this!!" Rad began firing again, putting as much lead into the same slaver as before as he could, he wasn't sure who had been hitting out of him and the pegasus next to him, but any hits were good in his eyes. "Come on ya cowards!! What's up? Scared to actually FIGHT!! Hahah!!" Rad just blazed away at the same slaver, not really thinking of his ammo consumption, or if he actually killed the pony, he was just going to fire until his gun clicked empty or something stopped him.

Everything went to hell around Ember, suddenly the slavers had come under fire from what seemed like everywhere! bullets were flying all over the place, but still Ember stood where he was, to afraid to move, every rational part of his mind was screaming at him to at least duck down, but his fear kept him upright... The thought of what would happen if he was caught on the floor, even when the slavers were dying around him, kept him on his hooves. And so Ember stood there, in the open, shaking and flinching at every gunshot.

The diving pegasus took the hits, and came back to fire again at the pony who had gone to unlock the chains. Stirring up a dust storm, the pony couldn't see and fired blindly into the air in the pegasi's direction with his .357 revolver. Two rounds hit the pegasus hard, but one shot from the pegasus blasts through the slaver's rib cage, putting him out of the fight to slowly bleed out.

Then, another slaver taking cover behind a rock loses his head to a sniper. Then, another slaver, badly wounded, took another shot from the same sniper to the chest, and finally died. (Lightning's kills)

A stray shot from another sniper flies in at the metal armored leader, and ricochets off the flank of his armor. (Ark's shot) He then spotted the medic zebra who had cracked a shot off at him, and turned to fire his LMG. However, something went wrong. The bullets tapered off in all directions, hitting nothing. The cause of this? His weapon jammed. Badly. The slaver shouted in aggravation, and got to work unjamming his weapon.

Then, another pegasus came in shouting, firing wildly at another slaver. The slaver turned to him, and fired his leaver action shotgun three times, but the pellets skewed off and missed their intended target. The green and black maned pegasi's bullets went wild, but two hit the slaver, bringing him to his knees. One shot hit the slaver in the shoulder at the base of the neck, and the other in the leg. But the slaver wasn't out yet.

Rad watched as his shots flew all over the place, but two hit, bringing the slaver down, but he still wasn't dead. "Stubborn ain't ya? Well it's not your day, I still got bullets matey!" Rad fired 3 more rounds then his gun clicked empty, he looked at his gun in suprise. "What? I never fired that many did I? Dangit!" Rad reloaded his pistol and looked to see if he needed to fire any more.

The slaver with the lever action shotgun fired the last two shells in his gun- both shots missed, the second one caused the gun itself to break! He swore loudly, but just before a hailstorm of bullets fell on him. The slaver fell dead to the dirt with as many holes as a piece of swiss cheese.

But then, another slaver with an assault rifle spotted the flying pegasus with the green and black mane, and fired one burst at him from behind his cover. All three bullets found their homes in Rad's body, hitting him hard.

Rad saw the slaver finally topple over. "Hah!! Finally!! That'll teach ya! Now who else wants so-" Before Rad had the chance to finish he was hit three times in the body, blood spraying from the wounds, knocking the air out of him and sending him falling, though he quickly managed to regain control of the fall, enough so he wouldn't just break his neck on contact with the ground, though he still hit the ground hard, his gun dropping infront of him. Rad got up, struggling to get air back into his lungs and bleeding from the bullet wounds. "Heh... That all?? I'll... I'll show ya how to shoot! Just... Gimme a minute..."

The leader of the slavers sat low for a bit, watching the carnage around him. He was shocked with disbelief, his entire party was dead minus him and one other. He looked around for a way out, he knew he couldn't survive. As the bullets whizzed by, he searched for a way out. Then, he spotted it. Sitting next to the pony with the shade's body, was the detonator.

Seeing his prize, he stood and scrambled across the ground over to it. Taking it in his hooves, he stood tall and called out. "STOOOP!!" He held it high in the air. "Stop shooting, or I press this button and send these slaves sky high!"

The remaining slaver stood, and backed over towards his boss. "Whatever y'all are here for, you will not be getting! I'll see to it that these slaves die along with me if I go down!" the leader hollered.

Rad had picked up his gun, and staggered over to where he could see the slaver that had shot him, leaving a trail of blood in his wake... He was preparing to shoot him repeatedly till his gun clicked or he was dead, but before he could do anything he heard the leader shout for everything to stop, and saw the detonator in his hand. "DANGIT!!! You cowardly little... Fight proper! Or if you wont make him!!"

Rad pointed to the other slaver. "I want to riddle him with enough bullets so he'll shit lead bars!!" Rad stamped the ground in anger... If he were a less thoughtful pony he may well have opened fire anyway, but he was here to get those slaves out. He winced in pain as his wounds caught up with him again, nearly causing him to fall down. "You both cowards! If I didn't reckon you would push that button I would come down there and beat you to death myself!" Rad motioned to the blood all over himself. "Ya think this will stop me? Ya gotta do better than that!! I will destroy you!!"

Rad felt a little better after his outburst... Though his wounds still killed, he knew he need help soon, but he would deal with that slaver first, after he figured out what to do about the leader of course.
