Kestrel scoffed a bit and finished cleaning up after dinner, washing the dishes used and making sure the fire was low enough to not be a threat.
Hearing a snore, the griffon turned and looked at the curled up female that had joined him this fine evening. She looked a bit more at ease now, and her rather straightforward flirting had finally come to a close.
"Three hours, fifteen minutes. Not bad for a rookie." Kestrel thought to himself as he moved to secure his cookware and any unused things. he was quiet as he did so, respectful of the slumbering Griffoness on the ground not but a few feet from him.
When all that was done Kestrel moved onto his next task. Getting the female into a proper bed. The wasteland got chilly at night, and despite his reputation Kes was not cruel. He'd offered the bed to the female, and he'd make sure she'd be in it.
Carefully, so as not to wake her. Kestrel maneuvered Ciera up and onto his back. Shifting a bit to get comfortable with the weight, he then silently padded forward into his tent, pulling the flaps out of the way as he moved into what served as his temporary home.
It was rather bland on the inside, only a large sleeping bag and a small trunk for his gear decorating the otherwise spartan abode. It wasn't much...but it was home.
Taking Ciera over to his sleeping bag, Kestrel unzipped the side and then, carefully as he could placed her within it. It was an old, worn thing, but it was warm and soft. Its fabric now stained with the scent of its owner, a strange smokey cool spice that teased the sinuses in a odd way.
Had he managed to succeed in getting Ciera comfortable without waking her. He'd now take the time to do his final task for the evening.
Getting out of this damned suit he was in, and back into the armor he knew and trusted.
