The Day after Nightmare Night...
In the Stableton area, there is a hill which stands overlooking much of the wasteland area directly to the east. This hill remains almost completely untouched by the taint and Balefire to this very day. To the point where withered trees still cling to life. On that hill, also, is a mansion called Crystal Hill Estate. Ever since the days of the War, the mansion had remained untouched, and inhabited.
The current owner of the estate, Sooth Sight one day sent his wife into Stableton to spread around invitations to an event he planned on hosting to see just what his new neighbors were capable of. The mansion had always been a hot spot of practice in questionable magic, so Sooth Sight played on these urban legends and invited several ponies to spend one night and one night only inside his 'haunted mansion'. The catch was that when they arrived at the mansion gates, they had to dispense their regular equipment and weapons into lock boxes and that once inside, at 10 o'clock, the mansion would activate it's automated defense systems and would be locked down until morning. Whoever managed to overcome their fear of the strange place would receive 2000 caps in pre-war bits. And one who showed special 'gallantry' over the course of the night, would be granted to be able to locate a single object or being in the world, which Sooth Sight can find through his Clairvoyance spell.
