Ponyshock: "Pony Party Platoon"

Techno just barely managed to avoid being flung like a rock from a catapult by the huge creature. He got to his feet as fast as possible and fired up his magic, ready to start throwing some thunder, since a shield would quite obviously be almost completely ineffective against this thing.

Not finding anything he could do that would do anything but draw it's attention or make it mad, Tech instead decided to go help the ones launched by the metallic beast so as to get as much firepower as possible on the thing, and to keep the severely injured on their feet. Or at least bring them back up to the same floor the rest of the group was on.

Damn, I'd sure love to have one of those big green guys here now...

Of course. Of course the thing had to hit him. He wasn't even doing anything but he guessed it figured since everything here was trying to murder them. Scrap took a moment to lament fate as he was falling the two stories.

His pessimistic musings and cursing of fate was cut short as his body slammed painfully into the ground, bouncing and skidding his way to a painful stop amongst the broken glass from the window.

He as slowly getting up from where he landed when the pony-thing jumped down and was immediately shot at by Sky. Taking his cue from her Scrap drew both his lightning pistol and his new plasma pistol, loosing a bolt of electric death from his lightning pistol, as its spell matrix recharged he shoot his plasma pistol once at it, when the matrix was fully charged again he sent another bolt of lightning lancing toward the pony thing.

While the others were still shooting the big daddy and generally worrying about 'staying alive'. Nova decided to search the room and discovered a lockbox that had an open in case of emergency in large letters.

Going through the case, reveals to Nova:
-3 Hunting Rifles+Ammo
-2 Frag Grenades

Under the weapons case appeared to be a weapon box but it appeared to be locked. Sofar the team's small arms fire, aside from Scrap's lightning gun appeared to doing very little damage...

Aha! Nova thought, pleased with her find. She took one of the hunting rifles for herself, along with an appropriate amount of the ammo.

"Techno! Atriark! See if there's anything in here that you could use!" Nova told the other two. "I've got an idea."

Nova then proceeded to the ledge, pulling out her newly acquired hunting rifle, taking aim at the red windows on the creature's head.

She then fired two shots towards it.

Hopefully this hits something vital.

Starry stumbled backwards. She was entirely taken by surprise when the massive pony-machine jumped out. After being flung through the window, and landing painfully on the floor, she stumbled hastily to her hooves and pulled a frag grenade out from the belt, and flung it toward the massive metal machine.

She aimed to throw it under it's hooves, to land it just behind the massive machine. Ideally, the giant pony would be standing between the blast and Starry and her friends, mitigating most of the collateral damage.

Starry did not want to engage this giant in melee combat. She was shaking in her little Sword Mare boots at the thought of it. She drew her sword, though she had no intention of using it unless she really had to.

The big daddy stood up on his hind legs and roared, small arms fire dug into his suit but didn't seem to have any affect, however, Scrap manage to get a nasty burn in with the lightning gun and the daddy cringed as he swung forward into a full charge at Spark Facades..... drill spinning as he charged towards the end of the room.

Sparks meanwhile noticed this and as he stood up to regain his balance, saw the Caravan shotgun that Sky had lent him earlier and as soon as the behemoth slammed into where he was, he rolled to the side and got his hooves on the gun again.

The beast's drill turned towards Spark and was about to rip through his shoulder but a loud shot called out and blood spurted out one of the creature's eye windows. The entire beast shook as it regained its footing from the well-placed shot from above

Scrap watched rather horrified as their shots, with the exception of the ones from his lightning pistol, did nothing to harm the monster-pony. The thing was about to maul Sparks with the giant drill until one of the group members from above managed to distract it with a well placed shot.

Scrap took this opportunity to start firing again as his lightning pistol's spell matrix had recharged enough to let him fire again.

Sky was her Single shotgun did nothing as so did Scraps weapon, Sky aimed her shotgun at the giant thing. She saw the thing was going to Sparks but it faltered as it was shot by some other pony, Sky didn't know she took aim with her Shotgun and fired at the beast again.

Direct hit. Nova thought casually. But will the same trick work twice?

Nova decided that a weak point was not going to become any less effective the more it was exploited. As she steadied herself, taking aim at the creature again, she realised that the others might not have realised that it even had a weak point.

"Aim for the red bits!" She yelled down to the others. "They hurt it more!"

Well, I'm not likely to make a shot like that again from up here. Nova thought. Time for phase two.

Nova then went back to the box, and picked up one of the frag grenades.

Trouble is, if I time this wrong, then I'm dead Nova realised. It looks like I'll have to wait until the creature is distracted.

Nova then returned to the edge, and looked down on the battle, waiting for her moment to arrive.

Sparks looked up to see that Nova was aiming for the eyes, "Good, she knows that is the weak point. Now I just got to give her the opening,,,"

He tried to quickly wrap the Shotgun in a field of magic while rolling backwards as far as he could, trying to make the cumbersome beast charge him to close the distance. Once he had the shotgun in his telekinetic grasp he let loos a few shots to the beast head, hoping to keep its attention.

Seeing that most of the flung group was okay, Techno turned to the big metal problem trying to gore Sparks. His horn sparked it's signature neon blue as he readied it for combat. Since bullets would only do so much, even directly in it's glowing eye ports. However, with the combination of the shot eye and the grenade Starry threw, his wacky plan may just work.

"Sparks, get some distance between you and it!" he called as he put up a shield between him and the beast to buy him some time, all the while levitating the grenade right up onto one of the metal tanks on it's body, trying to get it wedged in so as to maximize the damage done by it.

(Magic 48, rolling to shield, jam grenade onto it's back.)

Atriark, with a newly acquired hunting rifle, reared up and took aim.

"Aim for the red bits!" Nova yelled out. "They hurt it more!"

Ah ha! A weakness. The fluffeh zebra adjusted his aim. He inhaled slowly, held his breath and fired before releasing his breath.

(Guns 52 Luck 6)

Starry snarled at the giant metal monster. "You don't attack my friends!" she shouted, as she begun charging forward to it. She focused her magic on tossing the grenade out of harm's way, as she intended to leap upon the giant's back and drive her sword through him.

Starry didn't want to engage the giant in melee combat, but if she could get on it's back, then the beast couldn't reach her.

(Techno, telekinesis cant reach that far, switching your action to throw, and a shield would be pointless since your not on the same floor)

Scrap managed to keep his distance and switch off between his shots but the dust threw him off target and only one of his shots from the Lightning Pistol burned into the Big Daddy's suit, Sky's shots were ineffective, the cheap shotgun didn't seem to have any effect and it didn't help she was about 30 yards away.

Still, Techno managed to launch a grenade that locked into the railings on beast's helmet, it flailed back as Spark fired a shell into its face. It didn't seem to hurt it, but the grenade manage to throw the Bouncer away from Sparks direction, blood and shrapnel flew across the room, a bullet rang out up from the viewing area, Ark luckily managing to register a shot.

Starry charged the beast and jumped on the daddy's back as the smoke clear, ...but He bucked Starry against the wall, sending her flying upside down against the barrier, and as she slid down and tried to get back up.

The daddy's drill lunged forward and jammed all the way through Starry's gut....the motor was beginning to growl. Starry's stomach was already torn up, her blood was spurting out quickly at an alarming rate.

Starry didn't have much time left...

Scrap was going to continue to alternate his shots and hurt the thing that way but Starry's attack on it and her subsequent goring caused him to need to reevaluate his plan.

His shots not doing much he decided to try something different and see if he couldn't keep the drill from moving. He attempted to grab the drill with his magic and keep it locked up, not twisting its way into Starry further.

Sky didn't know what to do her single shotgun sucked all to hell, She moved closer to the giant beast of a pony. She got close enough to firing range for the single shotgun. It wasn't worth it to fire only one round a time, She threw the shotgun and took out her 10mm pistol. With this she could try to get some shots off, and hopefully would be worth it.

Techno flashed a grin as the grenade latched onto the beast's back, but his grin quickly turned to one of horror as it charged and impaled Starry. So not only did she have a large beast about to drill her guts out, but also a grenade ready to blow at any moment.

Techno ran to the drop and dropped down, his horn glowing and producing a sharp solid cone of a shield around him as he fell, aiming for the beast. As he fell, he hoped that if he landed on the thing, his attack would at least stun it for a moment and let him work on disabling the fierce drill and getting Starry some medical help.

Please, nopony else die today... he thought.

Please...

Starry could not hold back a blood-curdling scream as the drill eviscerated her insides. Her horn's glow collapsed, and her sword fell to the floor. She struggled to escape from the machine in panic, and it shortly became evident that she was pinned. In a sheer act of desperation, she reached into her explosives saddlebag and pulled the pin of a grenade, screaming through her teeth as she then gripped the saddlebag by it's straps and tossing it to the best of her ability at the machine's face.

"EVERYPONY! GET AWAY!" Starry screamed.

(Explosives 79, tossing Starry's explosives bag, filled with mines and grenades, at the Big Daddy, with a single live grenade to detonate all the explosives)

"Dammit, she is pinned to the wall, and whats that noi... Oh fuck she planted explosives on it... Think Facade think, your heros in trouble, scrap is also close to the explosion... FUCK!" Sparks thought to himself angrily.

He fashed a face of resignition to his hero, Starry Night, even if he could find a way to move her, he could not save everyone... She would want him to save Scrap, so that's what he was going to do. He just had to pretend that scrap was a large weight, just a quick thrust, nothing fancy. He could worry about the feedback from having a damaged horn later, he was sure it was nothing compared to being at ground zero of the detonation of those things.

"I'm sorry chief... I never did get her autograph. " he whispered apologetically 

Facade focused with all his might, and yanked as hard as he could, biting down on his lips well past the point of bleeding.

Sky, flew closer to the big daddy, but rather than move in, she threw the shotgun in an attempt to distract the daddy but it bounced off harmlessly. She attempted in vain as Starry screamed to snap off some 10mm rounds, but the blasts were covered by a dying mare. Still even worse was Techno, who, in an adrenaline high tried to jump off the balcony onto the big daddy, regardless of the fact that he was 30 yards away on the other side of the room. The shield he managed to get up did nothing as he broke both leg and went crashing against the floor, unable to get up. Pain shooting through his body.

Then the drill started. Its engine revving to full speed with a terrible roar, only to be drowed out be the screech sound of Starry's screams. In a deluge of gore and guts, Starry soon found her life force being torn away and wound upon the drill like thread upon a spool.... Yet, somehow, she managed to set off the timer on a grenade and chuck it in with every explosive she had... Spark's eyes grew wide as the bag started beeping, quickly he lept into action and ran around the Bouncer, grabbing Scrap by the tail and getting him to come along as he fruitlessly tried to use his magic to stop the much too powerful drill. They managed to get a yard or two aware before the Daddy let out a room bone-shaking roar and the bag exploded. Sending Spark and Scrap flying with smoke and burns following from across their backs and legs as they were thrown with a bright flame and bang fill the chamber.

A giant gaping hole emmited smoke from the remnant of the what was once a mighty protector. The little filly that was still on the edge rushed forward but stopped as she nearly ran over the edge. She sat as far up as she could and screamed "DADDY!!!". . And the filly began crying over the death of her guardian… Pinkie bot panicky beeped as it tried to go down around the still burning big daddy suit, and the charred remains of what might've been a pony…. The room feel silent with only the sobbing and flames flickering to break it.

Oh crap! Nova thought harshly. Do they even have anything down there to help with?

Nova then remembered the locked crate from earlier, sitting in a corner of the room. Hoping that something inside will help, she goes over to pick it up, and put it on her back.

"Atriark, do you want to talk to the filly? I'll be back to carry you down in a minute." Nova quietly asked.

She then flew down, with the locked container on her back, to meet the others.

Sky Saw the entire thing unfold in front of her, mostly everything they did to Big Daddy did nothing to affect him at all. Bullets did nothing to stop it, Sky couldn't do anything to stop it and now Starry is dead. No way another Mare was dead and they couldn't do anything to stop it, Sky mentally kicked herself. Now she saw Techno on the floor and he looked in pain, she remembered about the hydra she had from the loot a while back. "Techno, i have some hydra i got from the from that stash a while back." Sky told him as she handed him the vial of hydra, last thing she needed was him kicking around in the pain. Better he take it himself, since he would be better in drinking the bottle.

Sky noticed Nova in the flew down to the floor where she was, she noticed only pony wasn't here yet, Ark. "Nova is Ark still up there, if he is then we need to get him down here to help out." She asked nova with sigh, they lost another pony. she doesn't want anymore ponies to die.

"He's still up there. So is the filly. It's crying for now, but I don't know how long it will last. Could you give me some help carrying him down?"

Nova then remebered the container. She carefully set it down on the floor for now, planning to ask for help opening it when everyone was down here.

"What happened down here Sky? I couldn't see everything from up there." Nova asked as she began to take flight once more.

"Yeah ill help with you in getting Ark down," Sky told Nova as she set the container down, something was inside it but its a later problem for now. "What happened down here Sky? I couldn't see everything from up there." Nova said to her, Sky just sighed and hung her head. "Starry is dead and Techno is looks in pain, everyone i don't know. let just Ark to help out, i dont want more ponies to die." Sky said as she flew to the top, to wait for Nova also.

Another one of us gone... Nova thought, whilst heading for the top. This is too much, I can't... No. Thinking like that won't help in this situation.

As Nova reached the top, she saw Sky waiting for her.

"I don't want any more death either Sky." Nova stated in a quiet voice. "And I know this may sound synical, but we can't mourn right now. We have to keep going, or else we'll fall apart. I don't want you, or anyone else here, to die next."

Nova looked sullenly at the ground.

"I'm sorry..." She whispered.
