Lord of the Foals[Closed]

Shutter was somewhat confused by Doctor Leaf's comment on the other side of the locker, his keen hearing easily picking up the mumble.
However, before he could comment to defend his marefriend, Starry began searching for keys, items falling on Shutter's head to distract his attention.

"Agh, careful Starry..."

He mumbled...although, that Screwdriver could come in handy...Shutter would have to remember to collect it once they got out of the locker. If he was able to get some bobby pins, he could use it to try and avoid any further lock-based issues.

As his magic removed one clamp after another, revelaing the mess underneath, showing what Gear had to live through...
"They are really gone, aren't they? Theres nothing we can do to bring them back, if they did this, this for... whatever reason..."
Arc removed the gag and seen how he tried to talk, how Sky was torn apart by this scene...
"Returned home just to become a foalkiller. Thats actually starting to be hilarious."

"Ok Sky. We'll place him on your back and i'll try to make it as comfortable trip as i can with my magic? But... i'm not sure he can make it in this state, Sky, we should move him just to the Overmare's office and fid a healing potion or something for him, if we'll have the time."

Sky only nodded to Arcs plan, she didn't want to say anything but she had to agree to arcs plan. "Yeah sure." Sky only replied as she tried to get Gear on her back, He was a big pony. But yet with Arcs magic it should be easy to carry him, not that she had the zebras gun. Sky was out on a vendetta and these foals are on her list, she wouldn't have it any other way.

Jasmine wanted to help in anyway she could. Helping to save anypony who may still be alive after a recent attack was the least she could do to honor the dead of the stable. But the thought of being near foals simply mortified her, and she remained quiet allowing any conversation to continue.

Jasmine thought the locker was a strange place to keep spare keys. She watched as an aura suddenly illuminated the inside of the locker while tools seemed to be banging around, until a pair of keys popped out of the locker grate. Jasmine heard the keys drop to the ground, and lowered her head to get a better look at where the keys dropped.

"Are you thure that thethe are the right keyth doctor?"

Jasmine picked up the keys with her mouth and turned them in the lock...

Saying that Shutter must have gotten desperate? When he was clearly listening from in a few hoofsteps away? Wow, Leaf. Way to be polite.

…not that Bakewell was any better, sitting here thinking nasty thoughts about a doctor who was probably just worried about the gunshots. Besides, the mare had a sneaking suspicion as to why somebody would hide spare keys inside a locker. But she would just…uh… keep that to herself.

She sat and fidgeted slightly as she watched Jasmine handle the lock. She would of course go help as best she could with the wounded after Starry and Shutter were free.

Jasmine turned the key, and unlocked the door to the maintenance locker, allowing Shutter and Starry to escape. Doctor Leaf was tapping his hoof impatiently as the two exited the locker, and he wasn't going to wait around for the two to delight in their reclaimed freedom.

"Alright! Let's go! There might be some dying ponies we could save!" the doctor said, hastily, before picking up his things with his magic and galloping down into the maintenance level.

Violet looked around the armory for something of use. Between all of the saddlebags the party had, Violet managed to procure several healing potions. Violet would be able to carry most of the group's weapons and armor, although she would be heavily encumbered.

This might not normally be a problem, but as Violet opened the door for Lightning Flash, the two could hear hoofsteps galloping toward them from far down the corridor. Some foals had likely heard the gunshots, and they were rushing in to make a mess of things. As it stood, they might have enough time to make a dash for the overmare's office, assuming Violet dropped everything short of the healing potions and a few saddlebags.

Sky managed to lift gear onto her back, and keep him stable with the help of Arc's magic. He groaned as he was lifted onto her back. It hurt him to be lifted and carried, but he had suffered and survived through much worse.

The two trotted slowly and cautiously toward the overmare's office, for Gear's sake, and were at the door by the time they heard the foal's hoofsteps echoing down the hallway. They were approaching fast!

"Arc get the door open, we need to get in fast." Sky ordered, she wasnt going to lose Gear. Not today, or anyday for that matter. If Sky lost Gear she wouldn't forgive herself for leaving him with these little monsters of the stable, now she needed was her stuff back to put down the things who nearly killed Gear.

"Im going to strangle those foals when i get my hooves on them." Sky said to herself, in said fit of rage as she stomped the ground.

It was a habit for the mare to utilize her wings instead of her legs to get around. The amount of wavering she did was a tell-tale sign of how nervous Jasmine was. She tried her best to fly straight and avoid anypony in flight, eventually she slowed to the rear of the group for safety. Her mind kept traveling back to the horrid fillies and colts roaming the vault. But regardless of her borderline phobia, Jasmine was ready to come to the aid of anypony in need. Even it meant risking a foal encounter. Although she wasn't quite sure exactly how she would be a help to the doctor short of moving bodies for the elderly stallion.

"Hey guyth, we have to make thure that Dr. Leaveth thtayth thafe!"

Jasmine stared ahead and the blur with the glowing bags floating near by which she guessed was the doctor.

"Don't worry Maple, I'll protect you! Besideth, bright mindth like uth need to thtick together."

Lightning watched as Violet crawled into the vent, slowly lowering himself back to the ground when she was safely inside. He paced impatiently outside the armory door, seconds feeling more like minutes and minutes feeling more like hours. Once Violet opened the door, the pegasus didn't wait to walk in. "Good job, Violet."

Amazing. They had just walked in to a treasure trove of equipment. Everything they had brought in was here. "Wow...this is just perfect." Lightning quickly located his saddlebag and his weapons, tossing the bag back on his back where it belonged and putting the weapons back in his holsters. Hoofsteps eventually caught his attention so Lightning changed weapons from the 9mm to his own personal 10mm pistol and began running back to the security office. "Violet, get the drill and whatever you can and let's go!"

Arc gently placed Gears onto the overmare's desk, then fumbled around under it. His hoof felt a small switch, and when flicked over, the wall panel behind him hissed and opened to the tunnel that lead to the Stable's entrance.

"Right, we're ready Sky. Now where's Flash and that filly, we have to move...", Arc said as he paced nervously in front of the opened wall.

Violet slipped the extra potions she managed to procure into her pack, before doing some quick mix-and-matching and stuffing as much as the group’s armor and weapons into a few bags, she knew from the sound of hoofsteps that they needed to move fast. They could give everypony their proper stuff later, but right now they needed things to fight back. Taking only a few seconds to do the rearranging, she was soon running out of the armory, several bags and a giant drill floating behind her.

“Coming! What do we need this drill for anyway? And where are we going, that room you and Arcy came from?” guessed the filly as she followed Lightning.

Bakewell followed Leaf without much hesitation. Jasmine had a point, if there were really injured ponies (And knowing this damned stable there probably were) then many, many lives were counting on Dr. Leaf getting to them safely. She didn’t want even more innocent and wronged lives from her past to be lost due to her holding the doctor up more than she had already. Her leg would be fine.

She wasn’t sure how much she would be able to actually help once they got to the injured, but maybe any help would be better than no help at all.

It was hard to express how relieved Starry was to be out of the locker. Hard, because the moment she got out, Doctor Leaf ordered all of them to follow, and immediately galloped off. Starry didn't even have time to stretch!

"Come on, Shutter! We have ponies to help!" Starry said, before galloping off with Doctor Leaf.

Shutter collapsed out of the locker, a few bits and pieces bouncing after him.
Once he pulled himself to his hooves though, he heard Starry calling after him to follow.

"Uh, yeah! Just a sec!"

He said, before turning back, and grabbing the screwdriver from before, slipping it into the strap where he usually kept his weapon on his police barding. The screwdriver was useless on it's own, but combined with a few bobby pins...
Now equipped, Shutter chased after the Unicorn, trying to keep up.

Doctor Leaf led Jasmine, Shutter, Starry and Bakewell down into the maintenance level, through several twists and turns to a room none of the ponies were familiar with, since they didn't often go exploring this deep into the maintenance level.

What they found in that room was appalling, to say the least. There were at least a dozen ponies, two of them identifiable as Lightning Flash's parents, and they were all shot very badly. A majority of them were lying still, either dead or dying. Three of them were still awake, including both of Flash's parents, but they were all grievously wounded. There were thick pools of blood soaking the floor of the room, which was nearly impossible to avoid stepping in, as it covered nearly every inch of the floor.

Doctor Leaf quickly got to work. He dropped his bags and pulled out some medical supplies. "Come on! We've got to get as many ponies stabilized as we can!" he shouted toward the group. "Take some supplies out of the bags, and get to work!"

Within the bags was an abundance of gauze, as well as surgical scissors, tweezers, and other medical instruments and supplies. The one thing missing from the bags were healing potions, though, so it appeared that the group would have to try saving these ponies in a more conventional fashion.

Of the twelve ponies in the room, three were concious. The group wouldn't know without checking for pulses, but of the nine who were unconcious, five of them were already dead.

Arc and Sky had made it into the secret tunnel with time to spare, while Lightning and Violet barely made it to the Overmare's office in time. The door to the Overmare's office shut closed, and the two fled into the secret tunnel with Arc and Sky before closing the passage, hiding the tunnel.

By the sound of it, Jack had heard the ponies fleeing into the Overmare's office, as the foals' footsteps could be heard galloping into the office.

The group would find their journey back to the Stable entrance room entirely unhindered, and they wouldn't meet any opposition when they arrived in the room either. For the time being they were free to roam the stable, as before.

Lightning didn't want to run back into the Overmare's office and instead, wanted to stand his ground and face Jack. But he knew that it wasn't the time or the place to do it yet. Just barely arriving back to the office in time, the pegasus would let out a huff before holstering his pistol away to explain everything to Sky and Violet.

"Alright...now that we have a moment to rest, I'll tell you everything that's happen." As they walked back to the stable entrance, Lightning explained what he saw in the Overmare's office just moments earlier and why he was there in the first place. "My parents sent Arc and I to go free Gear. We knew that he was in bad shape...but not this bad. When we arrived in the Overmare's office...we saw Jack and his followers break into the room where my parents and the other adults had gathered...He shot them all without hesitation."

Once the group arrived back to where they started, Lightning would turn to the others and say, "Listen, you ponies take Gear to the clinic and fix him up. I'm going after my parents. Don't follow me, Jack will be looking for you. Keep that drill safe. We need it to escape. Be careful and watch your back." He bowed his head once very quickly before turning and running down the hall back to the maintenance room.

Jasmine turned the corner right after Dr. Leaf and the others. She couldn't help but let out a gasp as she was unprepared to handle an emergency like this. She knew and grew up seeing most of these ponies that lay before her, though she couldn't put a name to most of them. Though it was incredibly difficult, she tried to shake her feelings in this moment for the sake of everypony counting on her.

After flying over to grab some medical supplies, she hovered over the pool of blood on the ground and went straight to the nearest survivor. Jasmine never treated wounds this serious in her entire life, and couldn't help but be incredibly squeamish at the touch of the blood. Everything seemed to move in slow motion, she didn't exactly know where she should start. She took a deep breath to calm herself and tried not to get overwhelmed in the moment. She cut off a length of gauze and tried to stop the bleeding from the individual in front of her. She could hear a groan as she touched the fresh wound with her hooves.

"It'th ok, I'm here to help you." She whispered gently to the dying pony. Jasmine turned her head back to Maple and shouted, "Doctor, am I doing thith right? I'm trying to thtop the bleeding but I'm not shure if it'th cauthing harm to the patient, or if I'm doing it incorrectly." [Medicine 15]

Jasmine shuttered as she turned her gaze back toward her patient, she couldn't help but close her eyes at the sight of the gore before her.

"Ok Flash, stay alive. Where will you try to lead..." Arc didnt finished the sentence before Flash darted away. Well, hopefully he'll keep Jack and others occupied while they would work on Gears in the clinic.

"Ok, Violet, would you stay with us? I dont know about Sky, but i have too little understanding of medicine to be sure how to help Gears and you seemed to diagnose him on a mere glance."

"I too have little knowledge of medicine, it would be great if you came with us violet." Sky said as she just looked at Gear, she wanted revenge and now wasn't the time.

"Listen like Flash said let's head over to the clinic, best chance to find medical equipment." Sky said as she tried to lift Gear up again, ready to move to the clinic.

Any sign of cheer or joy on Starry's face prior to entering the room was completely absent, now that she saw the sight before her. She knew these ponies! She knew the foals who did it, too, but that didn't make up for the fact that a bunch of ponies she grew up around were scattered about the room and dying at her hooves.

"Jasmine! Did you find one that's alive? Good! Let me help you." Starry told her sister, as she approached her sister and the dying pony and floated a roll of gauze over from the doctor's bag.

Violet dropped the weapon-armor laden bags and heavy drill by the door of the stable, letting out a sigh of relief as her horn’s flare died out. “Man, this thing is heavy!” she said as she leaned on the drill, wiping some sweat off her brow. Her mind went over what Lightning explained on the way, she was even more determined at this point to make sure Jack and his followers didn’t survive this day. No matter how many head she had to beat into various bulkheads. She’d probably spare Sundae though, and any other foal who was clearly innocent in all of this like she was. And if her thoughts on the shy filly were wrong, well, she’d just get smashed like the others.

She was snapped out of her thoughts by Lightning declaring his intention to find his parents. Violet nodded at the pegasus, before breaking out into a smile and waving her hoof. “Alright Light! Bye-bye, and be careful!” she called out as the pegasus left, before turning to Arc. “Oh, I’d never leave somepony hurt behind! Unless it was a raider. Or slaver. I’d just kill them then. OOH! Or a mean pony, although I probably wouldn’t kill them unless they were a really mean pony. Like Jack. I’m planning on killing him when we see him by the way, hope you two don’t mind. But I’m sure you have similar thoughts at this point!”

She turned to gear, floating a canteen of water out of her pack. She took a drink herself, wiping some water from her chin, before floating it to Gear, helping him get a drink. She could tell he hadn’t had any water for awhile, although she made sure he didn’t drink too much too fast. “Here, I have my medical supplies, let me do some basic work before we head out.” She floated several potions, a few med-x syringes, and a roll of bandages out of her bag, before starting her work.

“Oh, and I grabbed as much weapons and armor as I could. See if there’s anything you can use in those bags.” she said as she worked, pointing at hoof at the bags she dropped.

Bakewell was not a medical pony. The extent of her expertise on the matter could more or less be boiled down to “Drink a healing potion and hope it gets better.”

As she entered the room, the beige pony couldn’t believe her eyes. This couldn’t be happening. If Mrs. Smiles had been crossing a line, the scene before her was completely redrawing the line and then crossing it. Bakewell moved forwards as if in a daze. Her mind had stopped working quite right upon seeing the scene, and as she grabbed a roll of gauze and set to work bandaging on a pony she wasn’t even sure was alive or dead her thoughts became completely vacant. Even the act of bandaging seemed far away and non-existent.

{Medicine: 20. Try to help injured pony.}

Shutter...had very little idea of what to do. He wasn't sure what he had been expecting, but the level of violence and blood about the place...in his own home...

Quickly, he shook his head, trying to refocus his thoughts...he couldn't get hung up on this...he had seen worse...far, far worse in fillydelphia, and he needed to help these ponies that he COULD save.

Rushing over with Bakewell, he tried to assist her with aiding one of the injured.

Jasmine, Bakewell, Shutter and Starry did their best to treat the wounded. In the end, they only managed to save five of the seven ponies who were still alive. Starry had successfully assisted Jasmine in saving one of the ponies rather quickly, and the two were able to move on and save another. Bakewell had begun working on a pony who was already deceased. Shutter managed to correct the mistake, and they had managed to patch up one pony well enough to keep him alive. The two had moved on to another pony, one of the conscious ones, but this one, coughing up blood and unable to speak, died in their hooves as they were bandaging him.

Doctor Maple Leaf, meanwhile, had managed to stabilize both of Lightning's parents. Lightning's father, Soarmeister, had managed to retain consciousness, but Sundance, his mother, would slip into what the ponies would later realize was a coma. Doctor Leaf then moved on to enhance on the work that Starry, Bakewell, Jasmine and Shutter had done.

It was then that Lightning Flash, who had been galloping down the hallways, burst through the door into the room, seeing the five ponies, the doctor included, standing over the bodies of all those he had seen get shot.

Violet had opted to treat Gear where they were. She first began by injecting him with med-x and feeding him a healing potion, but she knew well enough not to heal him too much, or else the bones would heal incorrectly. Regardless, Gear seemed to be in much better shape. He was well enough to make a trip to the clinic, which Sky and Arc had agreed to visit, and where they might find the equipment necessary to treat Gear fully.

Gear was probably well enough to attempt speaking, but he wisely opted instead to get some much-needed rest, and fell asleep en-route to the clinic.

When they arrived at the clinic, the door was left open. The place seemed to be a mess, as though medical supplies had been hastily stolen off the shelves. They couldn't find any of the medical supplies they needed, they had all seemed to be removed from the clinic.

The stable loudspeakers came on, and Jack's voice could be heard over the loudspeakers all across Stable 113. He sounded quite joyful, in a smug sort of way. "He-lloooo 113! This is your supreme overlord, Jack speaking, and lookie what I've got right here! I'm just sitting in the overmare's desk right now, speaking to all of you over the PA system for the first time. Apparently, several little ponies came in through the Overmare's office to try and start a jailbreak, and what do you know? They forgot to lock the door on their way out! Now check it, I can see everything that goes on in the entire stable! Yup! I got a bunch of cameras set up all over the stable, I've got access to the PA system, and I'm on to all your little tricks now! And- oh hey, what's this? Four little ponies hanging around the clinic! And oh look! six little ponies apparently trying to bandage up a few traitors! You're all out well past curfew, but you know what? I'm not even angry! I've got all the power in the stable now, and I've got eight little ponies to thank for it. So thanks! Now why don't the lot of you just clean up the mess I've made of those ponies, get to bed, and I'll see all of you at the meeting tomorrow morning? Does that sound good? It better, because I say so."

// PS: I don't have the time right now to list what weapons you got from the armory, but I'll update that as soon as I get back later tonight. In the meantime, everypony please PM me what weapons, armor and items your character brought with them into the stable, to make things easier for me.

"The bloody idiot just told everyone in the Stable where he is, right after executing half of the population." said Arc, looking at the intercom speaker. That meant that Flash, and whomever Jack ever wronged still alive were probably on their way there.

So, Jack now had control of what was left of the stable's systems, though he probably didn't knew what to do with them, he could use the cameras, and knew about the passage, and was still heavily armed.

"Sky, the drill we got from the armory can get us out of here without confronting Jack. Right now he has all the cards and we got bloody nothing. it would be wiser and probably less dangerous to take this way."
