==Personality==
From the start of his life, Lightning always tended to be a nice but serious pony. He is one that is intensely loyal to his friends, even after leaving the Stable and being forced into the Wastelands. Over the year, he had grown to be suspicious of other and always cautious about who he talks too and what he reveals about himself. He tends to take things on a very serious and sometimes personal level and some might find him cold or humorless.
On the rare moments Lightning does relax, he does possess a small sense of humor and he does enjoy joking with his friends at times. At other times, he can be sarcastic and a little demanding. He, sometimes, feels a bit righteous and refuses to steal things for his own survival. But other times, if he knows the pony he is stealing from is evil or bad, Lightning would have no remorse in taking his/her things. Lightning always have and still believes in fighting only in self-defense and usually will hide or sneak away when trouble is nearby. But if he is unable to escape or if he is being threatened, he will fight back and he will fight back hard. However, at heart, he never really wants to hurt anypony else and always wants to do the right thing.
==History==
Lightning began his life in Stable 113, only 18 years before the population lost their minds. Living the "normal" life, he went to school, made friends, and enjoyed life in the comfortable stable. He was a target of bullying which helped him become a little more violent and confrontative. But in the end, his parents always told him that he should never try to pick a fight unless he truly has too.
Lightning's special skill has always been speed for him. He has always been proud of flying and loved it for as long as he could remember. However, one could only fly so high in a stable. When that faithful day came that all the ponies when crazy, Lightning's parents stayed behind in hopes that somepony would somehow stablize the situation at Stable 113. Despite Lightning's plead for them to leave, they refused and he was forced to leave alone.
Over the course of six months, Lightning lived in Stableton, learning about the risks and hazards of the Wasteland. While there, he took up the hobby of shooting, learning how to slow down to take a shot instead of rushing like what he usually does. Also, he continued to train his flying skills, learning how he could attack targets from the air and catching them off-guard.
Most of the time, as an occupation, he worked as a guard for the settlement. To him, it was slow and a little painful to wait for something to happen. The idea of being attacked or jumped at anytime didn't please him. However, it was a paying job and he still does it without complaint. It gave him time to talk to friends and plenty of time to travel when he pleases.
