The Doc has the social graces of a broken toaster and a similar amount of sanity. Having witnessed the violated remains of his family and spending a year alone in the wasteland have made him somewhat deranged and facilitated his usage of laughing gas as a form recreation. Trough possesses a respectable amount of explosive capability and none of the mental stability that should be required of a demolitions pony. In the year Doc spent alone he developed the delusion that the ghost of the Ministry Mare depicted on the Ministry of Morale posters was out to get him; when asked to support his delusion Doc will recount multiple time in which he almost lost an eye to highly improbable circumstances.
==History==
Born into a family of traveling doctors, Doc Trough has been training in medicine from a young age. The Trough doctors would follow the news of battles or raider attacks to find people willing to pay for someone to patch them up. Eventually their indiscriminate dealings caught up with them when Raiders attacked as revenge for providing aid to a rival gang. The entire Trough caravan (sparing the Doc) was massacred one night while Doc Trough was off enjoying a canister of Nitrous Oxide on a low flying cloud. When he came down to check in with the caravan Doc found the largely decapitated (and somewhat violated) remains of his caravan along with two dozen prewar flyers reading “Pinky Pie is watching you. FOREVER!” Doc Trough (now the only Trough) gathered what few supplies remained and set off into the wasteland. After a solid year of living as a scavenger, Doc formed a close friendship with a ghoul during a rather surreal event involving five bloat sprites and a box of macaroni. The two traveled the wastes for some time, scavenging in some places and hunting wild life with land mines in others. In their travels, Doc picked up a variety of explosive skills from his friend, along with a morbid sense of humor. One day Doc Trough went to go pick up supplies and trade in New Apploosa. After trading several homemade landmines for a knife, a 9mm pistol, and a couple of caps; Trough set off for the camp him and the ghoul had set up the night before. When Doc returned, his friend and all the supplies were missing. Trough followed the ghouls’ footprints for about three hours before he lost the trail and set off to search the towns for his undead companion.
