Answer the Call [closed]

Lightning was on a roll that day. Hitting targets left and right and with the help of the other ponies, they were only down to two slavers left. The leader and one other slaver. The other slaver seemed distracted at another pegasus flying around but there was suddenly a new complication. The leader had a detonator.

Now the lives of the slaves were even more in danger. He hoped the others knew to back off in this situation. Lightning didn't come all the way here to fail and see dead slaves. "No way you're succeeding..." Taking aim at the leader's hoof, he made himself a mental note to thank him for holding it up so high later. But there was no time to play around now. This was do or die. No room for mistakes.

His breathing slowed and the rest of the world blacked out around him. All there was was just one blue pegasus against one slaver. Inhale...Exhale...Inhale...Exhale...BANG! Lightning let the bullet fly and he prayed silently that it would find it's target.

The leader turned and faced the shouting pony. "You watch your tongue, you festering pile of braham shit! I hold in my hoof the lives of all seven of these slaves- one or more of which are apparently important enough for a rescue party to come after!" The leader had assumed that they had been tracked- perhaps they had picked up the wrong pony. It wasn't a big surprise, it had happened a dozen times before. That's why he assumed that was it.

"You won't do anything, your pony is too valuable to you." He turned to the other slaver. "Go get more collars," he ordered. The slaver obeyed and walked back to the wagon. "Now this is what's going to happen. Unless you want all these ponies to die, you will put on these collars-" However, he didn't have time to finish what he was saying, as a bullet ripped through his hoof. He let out a shriek, and the detonator fell to the dirt.

The leader looked down at the detonator, then back up to the ponies before him with a befuddled look. The other slaver froze by the wagon, then lifted his rifle to shoot again.

The hail of fire continued, Slavers dropping from bullet wounds in quick succession before it was just two left. During it all, one of the pegasi that was flying overhead and laying down fire took several hits and crashed into the ground. She cringed as he simply got back up and got ready to start shooting again.

When suddenly, the tables had turned, the leader having the detonator in his hoof and prepared to press the button. Now things were serious, Cuppa was anxious but she was quiet, not wanting to draw attention to herself. Again, things changed around as the leader started shouting, when a bullet tore his hoof off and the detonator was loose. Using her magic, Cuppa grabbed the detonator and withdrew it close to herself to prevent anypony from accidentally stepping on it.

The purple pegasus that had been flying around just out of sight finally burst back onto the scene. She dived down at the leader of the slavers, hovering about ten feet above him. She pointed her pistol at his side. "No good ponies dies today, are you a good pony?" Scrap prepaired her self to take off if things went bad, then fired three shots at his flank. "I'd say no."

Rad was about to reply to the slaver leader, when the bullet ripped through his hoof, at this Rad just smirked, and locked eyes with the other slaver. He raised his pistol and fired, and fired, and kept firing... All the while shouting at the slaver. "You think you can just shoot me!! Nopony shoots me and gets away with it! Die! Die! Die! Die!!!"

Rad sprayed his clip in the slaver's direction before he could shoot. Bullets whizzed past him, mostly, but one sank into his neck. Deep into his neck. Blood began to pour out, and the pony fell to his knees, dying. But he wasn't quite out yet, with his last breath, he lifted his rifle and fired again, three rounds hitting Rad's body. Then the slaver died.

Rad's pistol breaks and is no longer usable.

Rad watches his shot's go wild, but one hit the slaver in the neck "Yahah!! Bleed! Bleed and d- Wha? no!" Rad watched in horror as the slaver raises his rifle, Rad tried to fire again but the guns slide seemed to blow off. "Shit!" The slaver fired and the rounds slammed into Rad, knocking him too the floor. Rads vision went blurry as the amount of physical damage and blood loss began to catch up... But still he carried on, and dragged himself over to the dead slaver where he picked up his weapon and checked it was ok to use. As much as he could in his current state at least. A wave of dizzyness rocked Rads head, and he sat up against the dead slavers body until it passed, though he knew he would soon pass out if he didn't get help.

Whilst the fighting continued onto the slaver leader versus everypony else, Cuppa shuffled towards the corpse of the slaver by the tree they were all chained to. She'd have to try and find the key, wherever it was.

Key to padlock holding chain around tree, a .357 magnum revolver, and eight .357 magnum rounds were found.

Finding these things, Cuppa kept a hold of the detonator, the .357 and the rounds for it whilst she unlocked the padlock for the chain around the tree. Then she'd make sure the magnum is loaded and she attempted to shuffle towards the next slaver body. "C'mon everypony, we need to find the keys fer these collars an' cuffs."

As she said that, she levitated the revolver up and aimed it carefully at the slaver leader and eased the trigger, she was no good shot, but even a few shots to make him duck would help, right? She would try to aim each time, so that she had a better chance of hitting.

Rad shook his head to momentarily clear his vision and raised his rifle at the slaver leader. "Just die will ya!!" he pulled the trigger and fired off four bursts at him, hoping it would be enough.

Ember was terrified, but it seemed that they were going to escape at least, all that was left was the slaver leader. But he still didn't want to move, just incase everything went wrong somehow... If he stayed, he might not die. So Ember stayed where he was, scared out of his mind, and watched to see what would happen.

More bullets pierced his hide as the Slavers seemed to focus their shots at himself, seeing that he was pretty much the cause of all this trouble. "Grah, fuck!" Those two, REALLY dug in deep! His throat closed up, making him choke. Next, he spat out a glob of... blood? Damn. Picking up his pistol once again, he quickly aimed at the last of the slavers and fired once.... before collapsing onto the ground, panting and clutching at his wound. "Mmmnnh.... Fuck..." He groaned, gritting his teeth some as the pain weakened him.

Sky stayed still as the rescuers actually took out most of the guards but she just stayed still, the leader took alot of damage yet he still stood. And was majorly hurt, but like the other slaves she had nothing to do and she was stuck cowering in the ground. She looked around to see the blue pegasus hurt in his initial strike, she wanted to help but she wait after all the had ceased. But a pony unlocked the padlock off the tree, and told the slaves to look around for the keys. But she stood up and decided to follow the ponies orders to loot the slavers for the keys.

The leader cried loudly as he watched the hail of bullets pour in on him from all directions. His metal armor was incapable of stopping the barrage of rounds, and most of them punched straight through. The leader lost a leg, and fell to the ground. Being shot more, a chunk of flesh flew off of him, as the bullets tore him apart. By the time the firing stopped, the leader was a bloody pile.

Zuberi was in shock. He had never witnessed anything so gory! But he wasn't about to let that slow him down. He had witnessed the cyan colored pegasus plummet to the ground, wounded, just before his hooves. Once the range was clear, Zuberi stood up, and hopped over to the pegasus' side and sat next to him.

He had started the whole thing. A lot of ponies showed up to help, but this one started the attack. Not the best plan, but daring. Zuberi liked that. He put his hooves on the pony, and searched for the wounds.

"Are you alive still? Please, say something," Zubi pled quietly to the pony.

Stood there, watching as the bullets ripped through the leader of the slavers, Cuppa was slightly horrified, but also greatly relieved at the sight of these bastards perishing... It was quite reminiscent of a previous incident, but the saviours didn't last long after that. This was different, these ponies seemed to have managed to take them out without much damage this time.

Her first concern was the wounded stallion with the colourful hair. Looking to the slaves next to her, she ushered them with her so she could reach the wounded pegasus. "Jus' stay still, ya got it? I'mma fix ya'll up the best ah can." She said as she used her magic to drag her saddlebags, which still had her possessions in, over to her as she withdrew some tools, along with several wraps of medical bandage.

Using her magic to pull the bullets out of the grey stallion's wounds, Cuppa would quickly try to fix the damage as best she could.

Sky had no idea what to do, she was still locked in the chain and still had the collar. she had to help somehow, but maybe she had to go help out Zuberi with the pegasus. He seemed to be more into trouble than even one else, she could try to help out sound. But they needed a medic to help out the ones that were hurt, Like the pony helping out the other pegasus. Sky should have never slept on the rock that day, now she really regretted it. but a key right now would be better to find since they all stuck together, and she could barley move. Sky went over to the bodies of the dead slavers, all of them dead and had bullet holes in them. Sky had to wonder who actually came to save them, but now she had to go and loot the bodies around her.

Scrap Box touched down next to the slaver leader's body, or, what was left of it. She began it pick through the bloody mess, hoping to find anything usefull in the heap of meat and bones. 'Maybe he has the key on him.' she thought as she looked over his Battle Saddle as well.

Rad is healed. The slaver leader's body has nothing but ammo for the LMG. The LMG is in decent shape, but the battle saddle is unusable and needs repaired.

Lightning simply smirked as his bullet hit it's mark and completely eliminated the threat of blowing up the slaves. The Pegasus cocked the bolt quickly and released the shell before reloading. He would then peer back down his scope and watch as the rest of the slavers get killed by the rest of the ragtag rescue team.

Now that there was no reason left to hide, Lightning would stand up and rest his rifle on his shoulder, staring at the battlefield below him. A light sigh would escape his lips before reholstering his weapon and taking to the sky. The Pegasus flew down to the camp quickly, going straight to Sound Wave. The poor stallion took a beating during the fight and all Lightning could really do was shake his head with a sigh. "Sound...you are one crazy Pegasus."

Lightly patting Rad Booms head after sewing the bullet wounds shut and repairing most of the damage by wrapping some healing bandages around his wounded torso, Cuppa gave a smile before getting up onto her hooves. "Ya'll be fine now, jus' dun go gettin' shot again so soon, 'kay?" She said before moving off.

"Now, t' find that key..." She muttered to herself as she shuffled over to a dead Slaver, the one with the shades, and searched him, even considering ridding him of his armour.

Rad watched with slight amusement as the leader was torn apart by the hail of gunfire, then sat patiently while he was patched up by Cuppa. "Thanks missy, all this blood was startin to get annoyin, I guess that makes us even eh? I saved ya, ya saved me, all that remaines is to see if this lot have anythin worth takin. Think i'll keep this rifle, it sure fires fast... Wonder if this idiot even had any more bullets for it." Rad then turned and began to check the body of the slaver he had been leant against, mainly checking for ammo, but also anything of use.

[Looting the slaver, Perception 6, Luck 4]

Atriark had taken out his binoculars when the heavily armored slaver pulled out some object that Atriark had a hard time determining. Fearing it was a detonator, Atriark stopped firing. Peering through the binoculars, the zebra medic's fears were confirmed. He froze, not sure what to do next. That was, until a shot rang out and a bullet struck the slaver in the hoof. Atriark adjusted, trying to find the shooter.

"Well I'll be damned..." Atriark muttered as he identified the second sniper. "Everypony just loves upstagging me..." The zebra mused as he reloaded his hunting rifle. The other sniper, was none other than Lightning Flash. His weapon, Atriark believed to be a scoped Hunting Rifle.

Getting to all fours, Atriark slung his rifle on his back and stuffed his binoculars back in his saddle bags. He watched the ponies finish off the slaver before trotting down the hill. By the looted body of the dead slaver that had the detonator, Atriark spied a LMG. He knew that he was too weak to keep such a gun on target. But he couldn't resist the temptation of dakka. Chuckling to himself, Atriark went to go retireve the massive gun.

Beans finds a 9mm pistol and 24 rounds for it on the slaver who had been wearing the shade's body. Also there, was his shades, and the keys to the cuffs which attached all the slaves to the chain. Rad finds 43 5mm rounds.

Scrap Box wonders over to the wagon, 'Maybe the keys for those collars are in here.' She checks in the wagon for any keys, and loot as well. Hopefully she'd find a better gun then this little pea shooter of her and some ammo to match.
