The Eternal Nightmare[Closed]

Rad generally did as instructed, taking the bit of wood in his mouth as Winter worked, grateful at least that she was taking the time to make it as least painful as possible for him. Though when you have two holes in your side, only so much pain can be reduced... As much was displayed as Rad let out a series of muffled groans, yelps and whines. Safe to say that had there not been a piece of wood in his mouth, he would have been making a lot more noise. Rad felt a dizziness come over him as Winter worked, probably due to the adrenaline from the fight wearing off, by the time Winter was done Rad looked as though he wasn't quite all there, and he himself had decided he would need a moment to gather his senses.

Of course that wasn't going to happen as next thing Rad knew there was a loud explosion and dust had been thrown everywhere. It certainly knocked his senses clear again, and through the haze caused by the dust he could see that the tunnel they entered through had collapsed, a slight panic took over as the pegasus wondered if there was even another way out of the place, and as he snapped his head around another realisation fell upon him... "Uhh... Anypony see Arc or Lightning come through that tunnel?" Rad couldn't hear any gunfire on the other side, which meant the two had either been captured, or were dead. There was no other possibility in Rad's mind.

Lightning wasn't much better off himself than Arc but he knew that somepony had to get up and take charge so the pegasus, through the pain, forced his body to get up. He would walk over to his discarded sniper rifle and pick it up, folding in the bipod and sticking it back on his back before limping over to Arc Weld. He saw the unicorn attempt to walk then flop over in defeat. Forcing himself through the pain, he would try and urge Arc Weld to get up, "Arc...it's Lightning. You're going to be ok. We have to get moving though."

Looking around, Lightning could see where they had came through and where they were forced to go. This wasn't good. He didn't like being trapped. Especially trapped and with no options but follow the one path laid out before him. And worse, he had no medical supplies. He couldn't deal with Arc's or his own pain right now. Or even heal one another. Their only hope was to keep moving and regroup with the others. It made it worse that they were standing in sewage but the pegasus will rage at that later and get his friend out of here now.

Winter dived onto Rad when the dust cloud entered the room, shielding his still healing wound from the particles. As the dust settled down, she coughed out what dust got inside her mouth and airways and shook out the rubble from her mane. Keeping her head calm, she turned to her other patient. Arc and Flash... well, at this point, there was little she could do for them, so she focused on Spectrum.

"Alright... Spectrum, I'm going to have to clean and disinfect all those wounds. The dust didn't helped me with that much... it's going to sting a little from the alcohol, but nothing near what happened to Rad."

Winter waited for Spectrum to lay down, then she pulled out several pieces of cotton, another medium healing potion and a bottle of medical alcohol from her bag. She doused the cotton in the alcohol an another one in the healing potion and started to work on Spectrum's body, first cleaning each wound with the alcohol, then with the healing potion. What potion was left at the end she held for Spectrum to drink, hoping this was the last time today she had to clean someone's own blood from him.

"Arc...it's Lightning. You're going to be ok. We have to get moving though."

Arc felt his mind slightly emerge from the depths of the delirium he was swimming in. For few moments he managed to perceive his surroundings clearly, the arched tunnel around them, the water and the dim light green light of the pip-buck. He rolled on his other side, groaning in pain and looked at Flash. Everything felt suddenly very real.

Arc pushed himself up to sit, leaning against the sloped, wet and cold wall. His left hoof was still clutching his right shoulder, his teeth gritting from the pain. "Flash... got... need Med-X... it hurts... left saddlebag..." Arc took a deep breath, trying to fight over the pain. "Enough... enough for both of us. Healing potions... please... now..."

Nova looks on as Rad is finally fixed up. However, the sudden explosion and cloud of dust surprised her. Nova looked over to where they had entered the area and noticed that neither Arc nor Flash were coming through. Nova turned to Rad, worried a little.

"They'd better be alright if they know what's good for them."

Nova sighs tiredly as she notices Winter now healing Spec. Nova then notices the new hole that wasn't there before, and started to trot towards it with the intent to search around.

"Rad, you can stay back and watch over these two, or help me look around here. Up to you." Nova stated before entering the are and beginning her search.

Lightning frowned as how badly Arc looked. The poor unicorn took a beating during the battle. Then again, so did himself. But it wasn't the first time he was hit by gunfire. Though, he doubted that no matter how many times he would be hit, he will never get used to the pain that came with having a piece of metal lodged in his chest.

Lightning perked his ears when Arc spoke. So he did have some medical supplies with them. "Hang in there, Arc!" Quickly, the stallion reached into Arc's bag and dug out the Med-X and the health potion. He decided to take care of Arc first, not wanting to look selfish in healing himself first. "Hang on, Arc...this will hurt a little." Gently, he would inject the Med-X into Arc before handing the health potion to Arc to drink, "Drink that."

Rad thought about Novas question, really he should probably stay back with the others, considering he had just recently been patched up by Winter, but then he might miss out on something awesome. To this particular pegasus, stuff overruled common sense, for better or for worse... "I'll come help ya look, who know what mysteries there could be!" He then trotted after Nova and took a look around, seeing if there was anything of use.

A large 'boom' made Spectrums heart stop and her blood run cold as the dust cleared and it was evident that Flash and Arc were not in the room with them, she was about to bolt off flying to see the tunnel but Winter stopped her.

It would be a lie to say Spectrum wasn't in pain but from her minimal reaction it would confuse other, but the way spectrum saw it the pain was a reminder to not get hurt again, to stop using up there small cache of medical supplies. A soft Smile and a quick 'thank-you' to winter she quickly one two stepped and was off into the air and looking at the entrance that was now blocked off trapping Flash and Arc behind it, she couldn't place why but she had faith that they were alive and that meant they needed to somehow find them. She though of many things to yell at them, even if they couldn't hear it, but she remained silent flying after Rad, another pair of eyes couldn't hurt and maybe one of them would catch something that another missed. They needed to quickly find the two.

===Arc and Flash===
The nerves reported a sharp pinch in Arc's left hind leg as the injection got pushed inside his body, but within seconds, the morphine spread across his body and changed the pain into a warm numbness. Arc relaxed, ignoring he was fetlock deep in waste water, and blissfully smiled, letting out a content sigh. Then he drank the potion, feeling a faint buzz in his shoulder as the tissue knitted back into it's intended shape.

===Violet, Nova, Spectrum, Rad===
The search of the room showed what one would expect from such place. The armour rack contained several sets of ornate heavy metal armour, though the time has had its way with it and what once was impenetrable chest plate was now rust red colander. The weapon racks showed same itinerary, several broadswords, pikes and few smaller swords, falling apart. To Rads great surprise, one of the helmets was used by a large rat as a home. When he looked inside it, it jumped and tried to bite off his nose, but the pegasus managed to move his muzzle out of the way. The rat disappeared under the small wooden door on the other side of the room.

The smaller door on the other side of the room led to what seemed to be used as a toilet and a rubbish disposal, a gaping hole into the dark. Or at least Spectrum though so. Her mind started to panic as it run the simulations of what took place in this room. She quickly backpeddaled back to the guardroom and slammed the door behind her.

Nova went through the cabinets.The wooden cabinets offered only a rotten remains of what probably once were logs on usage of the gate, shift schedules and other items of bureaucracy.

Violet went through the chests. Few of them contained digging equipment, nails, pick axes. What the last one contained, however, was not so very mundane. The chest had three metal boxes in it.

The large one was steel grey now, matted with time, but the flakes of white paint on the lid showed its original colour. In the centre of the lid was a circular emblem with light blue crystal in the middle. A small pad on the side of the box implied it was locked with electronic code.

Leaning against the box on the right side was a smaller, yellow box with butterflies. When Violet tried to open it, it was locked.

The last one was vibrantly pink, with balloon emblem on it. When Violet tried to open it, it exploded with loud noise, throwing confetti into Violets face. When the noise stopped, a click was heard from the box. A small speaker started to play a message. A mare's voice high pitched and jolly, speaking in a way that almost forced everyone around to smile, spoke out:

Hello eggheads! *giggle* When I heard how super hard working you all are, I could help but to think 'Pinkie, what does Dusty and her friends down there to have some fun?', and I was all 'WHAT IF THEY DON'T HAVE ANYTHING FOR HAVING FUN???', and then I thought 'You have to save the day!'. So I though of all of you and sent you this. Have fun, and don't think too hard!

The box contained a tin of Party Time Mint-als, several bottles of Sparkle-Cola, two packages of Fancy Buck Carrot Cakes and one set for playing 'Pin the tail on the grumpy donkey'.


A bright flash filled the room. When the light subsided, all the old, rusting or rotting furniture and weapons were like brand new. The door leading to the antechamber where Winter, Atriark and Shade waited was now a strong, oaken door, reinforced with steel. The cabinets had the paperwork in readable state again, the suit of armour was shining like new, along with one spear and one broadsword, were shining like they were new again. Most importantly, the large metal door that stood on the far end of the guardhouse seemed in a lot better condition that it was, the hinges clear of rust.

Nova huffed slightly at the lack of anything useful and was about to give up. However, when there was suddenly and explosion of confetti from over by Viloet, NOva ducked reflexively, before the sudden flash pretty much restored the room to its original condition. Nova did the first sensible thing she could think of.

"Viloet? Are you alright?" Nova trots over to where she was to check on her, before looking at what caused the explosion, noticing the two remaining boxes. "If anyone's good at hacking or lockpicking, these look interesting."

Nova then notices something on the far wall, the shiny-ness of it drawing her attention and making her trot over to it. THe ornate armour looked pricless, however, she knew it would be impractical for her to use. That was when she noticed the rapier nearby. A swift weapon, light, something that suited her style. Nova trots over to it and takes it in her teeth, testing the balance and finding it acceptable.

"If nopony else wants it, would it be alright if I had this?" Nova queried, showing the blade to everyone present.

Nova then suddenly noticed how Spectrum looked after just being healed, deciding to check the area she had come from, but remembered the crumbling paperwork from where she searched.

"Also, there might be some info about this place in the papers over there, if anyone cares to take a look." Nova states, trotting towards what appeared to be a bathroom and noticing the whole.

"Any idea where this could go?"

[Taking Rapier if nobody else wants it.]

Rad looked about the room, seeing that there wasn't going to be much of use in there, though he did wonder if he might be able to salvage something from the armour. Though as he was looking at a helmet he got a nice surprise. "Gah!" The rat had jumped out at him, giving him the shock of his life as he manged to avoid it's bite, though the shock caused him to almost lose his balance as he jumped backwards, dropping the helmet.

The explosion of confetti drew Rads attention before he could go hunting for the militant rat, first he thought it might be those zebras again. Though when he looked back he saw the whole room was... Restored? And looking back at the armour Rads eyes lit up... He hadn't seen something that shiny before in his life! He stared at it for a while, almost like he was in some sort of trance. It was just. So. Shiny!

Rads trance was broken as Nova took some kind of sword from the weapons rack nearby. "I got no problem with ya takin it, i'm not much of a sword pony myself... Have you seen this armour? Look at how shiny it is!!" He turned back to the room to address everypony. "Anypony mind if I claim this oh so shiny armour?" The impracticality of wearing such a heavy set of armour hadn't even crossed the pegasi's mind. Of course he'd find out just what those impracticalities would be when he flew in it, but all that Rad was thinking right now was how bad he wanted something that shiny.

Violet blinked as confetti was launched into her face, slowly pulling the streams of paper out of her hair as the message played.

“Yeah, I’ve fine.” she told Nova. “I’ll deal with these, you go see if there’s anything else interesting here.”

‘Considering the emblem...That’s probably the Minister of Moral’s voice.’ Violet thought to herself as the message played. ‘Certainly fits what I’ve heard about her and all those posters...Also it sounds like she’s a tad high...’

She started to pull stuff out of the box, the first being the tin of Party Time Mint-als.

‘...That high thing might have been more accurate than I thought...’

Violet shook her head and slid the chems into the pouch on her bags with the others, just in case. While she certainly didn’t want to have anyone use them, she knew full well what these could do to a pony from her time at the Friendship City clinic, and would want nothing more than to throw them away or burn them or something, she couldn’t help but think that there may just be a time soon where these would be needed, and if she threw them away now she’d be kicking herself later. It was unlikely, and if it didn’t come up Violet would dispose of them later, but for now she might as well keep them. As long as nopony took them, there would be no harm done.

Moving onto the other stuff, Violet’s grin returned at the site of the Sparkle~Cola, her favorite drink.

“Ok, this I’m fine with.” she said to herself as she opened a bottle, smelling it before taking a drink. She checked the other contents of the box, chuckling at the little game packed inside.

‘Besides the horrible, super-addictive, mind-ruining drugs, this isn’t a bad little care package.’

She shut the box, before lifting it into the air with her magic with the other two, hopefully somepony here knew how to pick a lock or break through the computer thingy on the Ministry of Image box. Turning towards the rest of the room, she was suddenly blinded momentarily by a flash of...Something. Magic? Whatever it was, once she regained her vision, she stopped and gaped at what she saw.

“What...The...What the hay’s going on?”

The room was restored, in pristine condition, like it hadn’t been touched by 200 years of wear and tear. Even the wrecked door was in perfect shape again.

“...Ok, seriously guys? Am I the only pony wondering why the heck this room went from old and wrecked to shiny and new? I think that’s a bit more of a concern than whether or not anypony else wants that sword or armor.”

Winter Bell, finishing patching up Spectrum, sat down and let Specrtum trot away to search the guardhouse. She looked into her doctor's bag, sighed at the disorganized mess it turned into after the hasty operation she had to perform on Rad, and started to put things back into order. The little blue light that occupied the crystal in the ceiling went completely unnoticed by her.




The mote of light slowly descended on the balcony, taking it's time, the fall slow as the ebb of time. When it hit the stone floor of the balcony, it brightly flashed with a strong blue light, filling the room and blinding everyone inside for a few moments.

When Winter was able to see again, the rooms changed. The well had all the missing parts back, the doors were like new and the stonework looked like it wasn't left on its own for the last millennium. The newly repaired doors were now blocking her from the guardroom, and thus from the other half of the remaining group.

The fact that the room just got renovated from 1200 years of neglect was interesting, yes, but what caught WInter's attention was the balcony, or precisely, the stallion that was now standing where the mote landed. Clad in a knightpony's armour, he had a light blue coat with midnight black mane, though most of it was hidden under the helmet. The helmet itself was high, made from a metal black as night, with a crescent symbol on top of it. The same symbol was emblazoned on the cuirasse the stallion wore, made from the same black metal. His golden coloured eyes looked around and fixed on Winter. He warmly smiled when he saw her.

"You're back." His voice was young, melodic and easy to listen to. The kind that you could listen to for hours, regardless of topic, or if you even understood the language.

He stood at attention. "I apologize, ma'am. It was just that I waited for so long... I was almost starting to lose hope." His eyes moved and examined Atriark. "I see that you travelled far off lands in the time. From what I have seen, you have prepared a very variable entourage for the ritual... it should only help us in our effort. These two will help us start, while the others arrive." He looked at the doors leading to the guardhouse. A small vortex of magic appeared and from it rose a rope made of pure light. It wrapped around the door and closed it shut.

He looked back at the group in the room. "Now, without any further necessary ado, let's begin." A flash of light enveloped Shade and she disappeared. Atriark tried to run back into the tunnel, but was snatched away as well. Winter saw the light enveloper her. Then her world got turned into darkness.

Arc focused his eyes on Flash, feeling the pain wash away and the shoulder tickle as it knitted back. "Th-Thank you Flash. There's... there's more. For you. You need it too." Arc looked at his saddlebag and floated a syringe of Med-X and a medium healing potion for Flash to have. As they floated in front of Flash, Arc looked around. "Seems we can go up or down the current. Upwards could logically lead us... well, somewhere. Hopefully deeper into the system. Might be a way up."

Lightning smiled lightly as Arc slowly recovered and got back onto his hooves. "You're very welcome." He took a moment to scan the area around him once more, his attention snapping back to Arc only when he hovered the Med-X and healing potion toward him. Nodding, the pegasus smiled and said, "Thank you." He injected the Med-X within himself first, the fuzzy feeling of the drug soon coursing through his veins, before he drank down the health potion and feeling more rejuvenated. "Let's head up the stream. By some luck, maybe we'll find a path that'll help us regroup with the others. I can't imagine they are happy to know that we are missing."

Lightning took the chance to pull his sniper off his back and inspect it for damage before he ejected the empty clip and put in a new one. "We should check our gear in case we're missing anything or if it got damaged during the explosion." His mind briefly wandered to Spectrum and he hoped the mare was alright. But he knew Winter was back with the other group and he trusted her medical skills. Once the stallion put the sniper rifle away, he drew his pistol and turned towards Arc, "I'm ready to move when you are."

Arc realized his back were missing something, one side was too light. His hoof fumbled around and found the repeater was gone. "Damit, where is..." he muttered as he looked in both directions. He spotted it slowly floating away further along the stream. His magic grabbed it and pulled it close.

Arc looked it over as it floated in front of him, then removed the battery from it and sighed as the water poured from the battery compartment. "Well... this thing's busted, or at least should be considered as one. Shooting it could blow up the battery and... well, we don't want that," said Arc as he slung it on his back. He unslung the plasma rifle next and cycled the battery in it. He lightly grinned when the green light in the focusing crystal returned. "Then again, that is why lady always packs extra. Let's go, then."

With the rifle floating next to him, Arc trotted upstream, the water splashing under his hooves. He assumed Flash would follow.

===Arc and Flash===
The sound of splashing water echoed through the dark tunnel. The pip-buck light was able to illuminate only a small length of the sewer, so the T junction was soon in the darkness behind them.

Arc noticed something in the water, breaking the pattern of the murky green water. He stopped and turned to tell Flash to stop, but it came too late. The diamond dog ghoul grabbed for Flash and pulled him down, holding his head under the water while an unicorn ghoul rose behind him. It let out a scream full of terror and run against Arc at full speed.

Lightning walked slowly and carefully behind Arc, slowly moving his gun from side to side to watch for threats. However, the last thing the pegasus expected was a threat directly below them. The second Arc turned around to tell him something, Lightning paused and that gave the ghoul the second it needed to suddenly grab him and slammed him down, his head under the water. Before long, he knew that he was going to start drowning, so, in an attempt to break free, the stallion leaned forward on his two front hooves and snapped out his back hooves in a buck. If he was successful, his hooves would make contact against the ghoul and hopefully knock the ghoul back, releasing his grip on his head. Once that was done, Lightning would whirl around suddenly and open fire in rage.

Rad looked around, it seemed nopony had objected to him taking the armour, so he did with a grin... Still unable to get over how shiny it was! After taking the armour he turned to Violet and took a look at the locked box. floating alongside her. "I reckon I could have a go at openin this, and if I can't... Well there's always plan B eh?" He said before taking out a bobby pin and screwdriver and setting to work. The box was of course still being levitated, but it's not like Rad was going to let that stop him. "Are ya the only one wonderin that? Possibly... Sometimes it's just easier not to question things, and if it ain't tryin to kill us, i'm all for lettin it be. And besides... This armour is reeeeally shiny! I didn't think shininess like this even existed anymore..."

"Flash, watch ou-"

Arc did not managed to finish the sentence. The water erupted as the diamond dog ghoul grabbed for Flash and pulled him down. Behind it a smaller water explosion showed a unicorn in an advanced state of decay. The ghoul charged at Arc.

"FLASH!" yelled out Arc as the pegasus' head got puled underwater. The plasma rifle was instantly pointing at the diamond dog holding Flash, spewing plasma at the ghoul.

===Rad Boom===
Rad pushed the bobby pin into the lock and used the screwdriver to keep it in place. Few moments later, the lock made a soft click and the yellow box opened. Inside were two medium healing potions and one syringe labelled 'Hydra extract'. Along with them, was a folded paper. Rad unfolded it and read:

To: Head director of the Big Hole operation, Dusty Shelves
From: Summer Shine, Experimental spells division, MOP

Enclosed in this package is one (1) unit of 'Hydra extract'. This package has been sent on the MOI request for the high risk workspaces. The serum is able to regenerate body tissue and fix bones at almost miraculous speed, with no currently known side effects. As a controlled substance, please refer to the manual II-32p of the MOP guidance rules.

===Winter Bell, Atriark and Night Shade===

Winter woke up. She felt like she just woke up after a long night spent drinking, drowsy and with a pretty solid hangover. She opened her eyes and slowly paned around, trying to make sense of her surroundings.

She was laying on a bed in what appeared to be a dungeon. The sides of the long room were lined with numerous holding cells, though all of them were empty. Only other occupants of it were the stallion that probably was responsible for all of this, and Atriark with Shade, both lying curled on the floor, apparently still unconscious. The stallion was rummaging through contents of a wooden chest that stood in front of the bed.

The stallion noticed Winter was awake and smiled at her. "My apologies, but we needed to act swiftly. I decided to use quicker method of travel. I noticed you were followed, we have little time. The rest of your entourage will have to find its way on their own, I'm afraid, the guards will surely show them their way. Now, without further ado, we have to start." The stallion bowed. "For your protection, I'll set up a safety barrier." A thin wall of lightly blue glass-like substance surrounded the bed on which Winter lied.

The stallion floated a large book from the chest. The cover was black, with golden hinges binding the pages together, and a gemstone that looked like to be filled with swirling dark mist. He placed the book in front of Atriark and Shade, then opened it. "One true of hearth, one hollow of soul," the stallion chanted as he opened the book.

The room suddenly grew colder and darker, like if the book managed to sap all of it into itself. A thin strip of black smoke rose from between the pages, reaching for Atriark and Shade, soon completely shrouding their bodies. A bodiless scream filled the room, chilling Winter to her bones. Two lights shone from the cloud and moved to sink into the book. The smoke cleared from Shade's and Atriark's bodies.

Both of them lied sprawled on the stone floor, looking not only dead, but somehow... empty. The stallion stopped chanting and looked at Winter. "It seemed the procedure worked well. Their souls are ready to be used. Now, I advise you to relax, my lady. Your sacrifice for our cause will be remembered forever."

He set the book in front of the bed and opened it. The blackness rose from the book and slowly tangled around Winter. It felt cold on the touch, but not like it was cold like ice, but more like the vast void of space. Empty, hungering... infinite. Winter felt something pulling at her, then sharp pain followed with feeling like she was dragged. Last thing Winter saw before dying was warm smile of the stallion, standing in front of the bed.

Winter was standing on a desert. The ground under her hooves was dry and cracked, and the skies above her... Winter could see that there was no cloud layer, nothing blocking the sun. Just light blue sky as far as her eyes could see. And in the middle of it, sun. Actual sun, shining, warming up Winter for the first time in her life. No longer the cold dampness of the wastes, but dry and comfortably warm air.

Winter could see two things on the horizon. On one side was a large mountain, made from the same light yellow material the desert seemed to be consisting of. It was tall, though the slopes were mild and able to be climbed easily. On the other side of the horizon was a group of smokestacks, rising as high as the mountain, belching black smoke.

===Arc and Flash===

Flash managed to come around and buck the DD ghoul into the paw that was holding him. The ghoul howled in pain, but it was not enough to let Flash go, his plan to grab his pistol and shoot the zombie now in vain.

Arc quickly aimed the plasma rifle and twice pulled the trigger, hitting the ghoul from point blank square into the chest, the plasma melting through it. It howled once more, but it still held Flash underwater with all it's strength.

The ghoul, angry and furious from the pain, tried to dig his claw through Flash's armour, but it only managed to lightly bruise.

The unicorn ghoul managed to charge at Arc and kick him down into the water, however he caused no real damage.

Lightning's plan in turning around and filling the diamond dog full of lead didn't end well as his buck didn't do enough to hurt the dog enough to force him to let go. He could feel the dog's claws digging into him with a fair amount of pain but so far, they hadn't pierced his skin. Doing his best to manage his breathing, Lightning decided to buck once, twice, three times, as many times he needed until he could break from the dog's grip. After that, he will attempt to leap away, putting distance between him and the dog.

Winter tried to scream as she was consumed by the darkness, the smoke suffocating and forcing itself though her nose and mouth, into the depths of her being. It crept though her, freezing her insides and cutting away her contact to her body piece by piece. She could only watch with horror before slipping into death as the final curtain fell upon her eyes and Winter, was no more...

Warmth, such a funny word. It could be felt in love between two ponies, in comfort from a friend and even from something as lowly as a common house blanket. Yet nothing, not even love, could replicate the raw warmth you felt from the rays of the sun for the very first time. It was like a long lost entity welcoming me with open arms, carrying the ghost of a smile from a friend I'd never known. I stared onto the deep blue abyss of the wide open sky and strangely found it staring back at me.

Then something changed as I watched on from the vast emptiness of the desert. The sky dimmed and the sun began to set, the warm waves passing away to make way for it's sister who rose to greet me in it's place. The moon, the silver sphere of light rose in the suns place and all I could do was watch in awe as it sat there in the sky, demanding the attention of all and putting the most beautiful of things to shame. Then, it began to rain... no.. not rain... me, I was crying, tears of emotion I couldn't explain into words. Like my very soul was bowing to it's beauty.

I couldn't stop, not even as the stars soon followed it's master, breaking through the veil of black to stand beside the moon. My cheeks were wet, I could feel each drop fall with every star that looked upon me, a mere pony, nothing in comparison to the nature of this place. As I sat there, slowly lowering myself to lay upon my stomach, watching from the vast emptiness of time, I smiled... I was at peace... I was finally ready to let go.

Spectrums heart was racing as everything looked 'new' as in a untouched from the cruel fingers of time and decay as it all of it was a trick of the light upon entering. She tapped the floor a couple of times as it was now spotless and clean as the rest of the room, she dared to ask the others in fear that the shock of her phobia was overloading her mind was now making her mind bend reality to create a 'safe' environment for her that her phobia deemed acceptable, luckily there was no need as Violet noticed the changes as well, but as to why or what she was dumfounded and lost "Things just don't happen out of the blue, not anymore at least" She looked around the room, taking in everything that had changed about it "It's like were back in the days before" She laughed a bit at Rad's reaction to the armor but right now they needed to find out what there next plan of action was to re-group with Flash and Arc. Speaking of those two she wondered where the others were, especially since everything seemed to take a leap back in time "So where now guys? We can't stand around here forever" she hoped they could leave out through one of the doors wanting to put distance between her and the hole she had found and closer to finding the others.

Nova trotted back to the others, knowing that their first priority was going to be regrouping with the others. Nova looked over the room, before noticing something odd. The door that led to Winter, Shade and Ark was now closed, and looked as though itt wasn't about to budge. Nova debated whether or not to test the door, as both of their medics were on the other side, but was sure Winter could take care of herself and that they likely had the same goal in mind. Regroup.

Nova then turned to Spectrum, Rad, and Violet as she set away her new Rapier, somewhat glad she'd found it. Nova thought of what she could add to the situation, remembering the destroyed papers from before the 'refit'.

"I think before we go anywhere, we should at least have a look through the documents in that cupboard. Might be something useful about where to go next." Nova thought for a moment longer as she trottedd to take a look over one of the stacks of papers. "See if you can find anything in them about a path forward, especially a map, or if there's anything we need to watch out for. If we want to find Arc and Flash it's our best bet."
