post-war:Most of his fur has fallen out leaving only a few slotches of blue and black. His cutie mark has faded so badly that it is no longer visible. His skin has fallen off in places,exposing muscle tissue. Only a few strands of his tail remain; the rest of his hair has fallen out.

Born to a zebra mother and unicorn father in southern Equestria before Zebra-Pony relations went sour. His father died when he was very young from cancer, leaving his mother to raise him and her two other sons: a earthpony named Ironhoof and a unicorn named Red Dawn. She taught them to always be polite,a gentlecolt,and never rude to mares.
As a little colt, he read books about history and spells wanting to learn as much as possible about the history of Equestria and the Zebra Empire and as spells as possible.He accidentally broke his horn when he was ten but that didn't stop him from learning magic.
Once Zebra-Pony relations went south, he joined the military to serve his country despite the racism he recieved for looking like a zebra.
Then came the Last Day; He was in Ponyville visiting an uncle when the sierns sounded.During the panic, he and his relatives went to the family bomb shelter in the basement and sealed the door.
Over the next few weeks, his aunt and uncles started to get sick as the radiaton began to seep in. Eventually, his fur began to fall out and skin began to flake off. His uncle fearing that Blue was mutating kicked him out of the shelter.
As the years went by and his ghoulification completed; he started to head south towards home.
