Clop. Clop. Clop. Clop.

Sound Wave's hoof clopped repeatedly against the counter top, eyes rolling and scanning the run-down shop's scrap yard like interior. Pursing his lips, he shut an eye and blew a lock of his mane out of the way before giving a very bored sigh. Surely the owner can't take THIS long coming back now can he? What was he doing back there, getting high!? But a Job's a Job and being the ever diligent worker that he was, he was gonna sit there and wait. And wait. And wait. And wait. He should have brought a book with him or something, though rare those may be, at least he'll have SOMETHING to do whilst he waited.

"Well, hello." A new voice piped up, causing the Pegasus to perk his ears and turn his head around, a smile on his face as he opened his mouth to prepare his own greeting but stopped short when his eyes spotted ANOTHER Pegasus, coming up from behind with a friendly smile. "I haven't seen you around here before. Allow me to introduce myself. I'm Lightning Flash. May I ask who you are?"

The Pegasus could only stare at Lightning. Hello... Shaking his head a little bit, the Pegasus gave a bit of an easy smile before replying. "Uhh, Hey there. Fancy meeting another Pegasus here. Haven't been seeing much of our kind around these parts in like, EVER." Placing a hoof atop of the lumpy parcel that lay on the counter, the Pegasus leaned back into it and extended a hoof in greeting. "The name's Sound Wave, pleased to meet you Lightnin'."

"There you are!" Sound Wave's head whirled over towards the counter once again, a rather huffy looking old pony glaring right back at him. "About time you got here... you have any idea how long I've been waiting for this thing!?"

If life were a cartoon, Sound would be seeing veins popping through the old Pony's temples. "Could you excuse me for a moment?" He held up a hoof towards Lightning before turning back to the old Earth Pony. "Easy there, old timer. Ran into a couple of ghouls on the way here but I got your package safe and sound right here, alright?"

Grumbling the Earth Pony merely snatched the package from beneath the Pegasus' hoof before retreating to the back rooms.

"Hmph, grouch." He couldn't help but grin. Turning back to Lightning, his grin broadens into an easy, but friendly smile as his job was all done. "So anyway, what do you need?" He asks, his tone bright and cheery as he tilted his head, his lighter but still rather hefty pouch protectively covering the spot of his Flank where his Cutie Mark should be.

"Right Silver, follow me." Again, Tesla Spark led the grey unicorn through the streets of Stableton. Navigating their way through the crowds that had begun to gather in the streets, as midday continued onward. Eventually the two made it the town's local tavern.

Entering inside, the two were immediately bombarded by the decadent smell of roasting food. It took quite a lot of self restraint, but Tesla moved away from his bag of caps. There would be time for food later, right now there was business to be had. Changing his attention to the ponies in the building, Tesla scanned it, until he found what he was looking for. A light blue earth pony mare, sitting at the bar, adorned with leather patchwork armor, and what looked to be a rifle in rather fine shape. "There!" Tesla said pointing the mare out to his partner, "thats the mare we need to talk to, she's part of one of the caravans that goes through and a local trader. If we can get her to sell our wares, then we can get this business off the ground."

Jack watched the other pegasus and Lightning interact. He was in a dark corner, yes, but he wasn't feeling really interactive today. He wanted to kill a few raiders maybe, but nothing much else. All the other days he's peppy and great. Jack opened his saddlebag and pulled out Hoof Life, and set it down. He started reading it, occasionally keeping down and turning the page when he needed to. So many pegasi around these parts, its not even funny. The more times he wanted to explore, the more he found. The populace here consists of unicorns and Earth Ponies, but there is always the occasional pegasus.

Lightning simply chuckled a little as he watched the pegasus deliver his package. Extending his hoof out to him, he would shake Sound's hoof with a smile, "It's a pleasure to meet you, Sound Wave. Yes, pegasi could be far and few but they are quite a bit around this town though. You just need to know where to look."

So...the pegasus managed to deliver a package even after facing a few ghouls. The group could probably use another pegasus. "So, Sound, are you busy right now? I got a little job proposal for you. Me and some friends are planning to head out of the city and search for some materials. You look like a hard worker. We could use another pegasus like you. What do you say?" He would smile at the end, hoping that if they could just get one more pegasi on board for this journey, he would feel that much safer in escorting these ponies across the wastes.

"So, Sound, are you busy right now? I got a little job proposal for you." That got the Pegasus' undivided attention. With a blink of his eyes, Sound Wave raised an eyebrow at the other Pony, looking mite curious and interested in what he had in mind. "Well, I've no more mail to deliver so yeah, I'm pretty free til I get another delivery job." He paused for a short moment before leaning in towards Lightning with a smile. "I'm listening...."

"Me and some friends are planning to head out of the city and search for some materials." Once again, Sound Wave blinked, this was getting more and more interesting by the second. Although seriously? Scavenging? Before Lightning could say anymore Sound could already guess what his fellow Pegasus was asking for. An escort. Someone to go along with them and help defend them against any Monsters or Raider attacks. Well, either that or they're looking for someone to help carry the load. "You look like a hard worker. We could use another Pegasus like you. What do you say?"

The Pegasus had to admit, this was a teeny, wee bit suspicious, since when would Ponies ask for help from complete strangers and Ponies you just met?

When they're desperate. A soft voice whispered inside his head.

Biting down on his lower lip, the Pegasus reared his head back to look Lightning over, his Violet eyes sizing up the Pegasus before giving a bit of a sigh and a small smile. Well, he seems like the trustworthy type....

"You know, I'm always willing to help other Ponies when they're having trouble but having someone to ask for help out of the blue, for something like this tends to raise some suspicion." With a light-hearted chuckle, Sound Wave gave a firm nod as his smile grew. "But who am I to say no to a bit of adventure? I'm in!"

Silver looks at Tesla skeptically. "What wares do we have to sell Tesla. Last I knew, we had none. I might be able to get her to pay us without giving here supplies, but it'll be much harder. Is there anything the thieves missed that I don't know about?"

"Silver, what I mean is that we can set up a deal with her, make it so when we have wares to sell, she will help us sell them all across the Wastes." Tesla was still beating himself up for not having any real to present to her...wait a minute they did! "Silver if she wants to see quality of our stuff, there is the gun I fixed up! We can show her that to prove that we have high quality guns so that when we have guns, she'll know they are in good condition."

"That could work. But you do realize that now we definitely have to check out that stable. Or scavenge what everypony else hasn't from Manehattan. Alright then, lets do this." Silver puts on his best grin and walks towards the blue mare.

"How do you do mam? My name is Silver and I represent Black Powder Repairs. I am here to propose a business deal that'll earn both of us a lot of caps." Silver holds his hoof out to shake the mares hoof.

The mare turned toward Silver, a look of boredom on her face, "Don't call me mam, I'm not that old, my name is Honey Dew, so Silver what is this proposition of yours, not that it really matters."

"Oh but I think it does. Black Powder Repairs would like you to sell it's wares. All of which are in near perfect condition. Heres an example of it's fine products." Silver floats out his 9mm to the mare. "Here take a look." Silver lays it on the table.

Lightning would smiled to Sound Wave the entire time, wondering if the pegasus would accept his little offer. Honestly, he didn't believe that he and Sky, despite being experienced fighters, would be able to defend all the ponies who wanted to go on this little exploration trip. Having four pegasi though, he would feel more confident. It was always good to have some eyes in the sky anyways. "Well, I can understand how this looks but I'm not trying to fool you. I'm being completely honest and you have the right to turn it down if you wish."

But apparently, Sound decided to go with it. Lightning couldn't help but smile a little wider as he said, "Great! If you have to gather any supplies or anything, I recommend you do so now. There is a store on the other side of the town called Black Powder Repairs. You may have walked passed it. It was the store that was sadly raided and it's in a bit of disrepair. The owners need a little assistance in getting it back up and running so that's when we come in. Get whatever you need, weapons, ammo, water, whatever and meet me at the store. I'll see you there." Giving Sound a bow of his head, the pegasus would unfold his wings and fly off, heading back to the store to wait for Silver and Tesla.

I'm a courier it would be pretty stupid of me to head out into the wasteland delivering packages without being able to protect myself!" As if to emphasize what he just said, a worn looking Shotgun had reared itself from his side and pointed itself right at the other Pegasus' chest. "See?" His smile grew, sounding a little bit too cheery as the weapon cocked once and then retreated back.

"I'll see you there." Sound shot him a playful wink and grin as he watched Lightning flew off towards 'Black powder Repairs', Sound Wave gave a bit of a sigh as he smiled and rubbed his temple with a hoof. What on earth did I get myself into now? Shaking his head as he gave a bit of a chuckle, the Pegasus turned back to the counter and found that the old pony was back and glaring right at him. Blinking, he gave a sheepish grin and shrunk back a little bit. "Uhmm... I don't suppose you have any shotgun ammo for sale, do you?" He already had enough ammo to last him for a while but hey, a little more couldn't help right?

The Old Earth Pony's intensified glare merely willed the Pegasus to quickly leave through the front door with a 'Guessnotpleasuredoingbusinesswithyoubye'. As he left the shop the Pegasus gave his wings a bit of a stretch as the warm wasteland air greeted him, a small tingly feeling going up his spine as he felt the breeze run through his feathers. Lightning said to head on over to 'Black Powder Repairs', luckily the Pegasus had been to Stableton enough to know where it was.

But first, Supplies! He was running low on potions and needed some armor ever since that Ghoul encounter back out in the wastes he's been getting a little itchy at the thought of those things tearing and biting away at his flesh. Trotting up to a nearby store, (and getting away from the grumpy old stallion's store as well) he pushed the large metal door open and went right on in.

"Hey there! What can I do ya for?" A rather plump mare piped up from the other side of the room.

Sound Wave's features lit up, someone who was nice! Hooray! Putting on a most charming smile, he approached the shop keeper and set down his caps. "What do you have in stock?"

Sound Wave raised a brow as he stared at her wares. "Only ONE health Potion?" He asked, looking up to give the Mare a rather surprised look to which her response was, to either 'take it or leave it'. With a shrug, the Pegasus nabbed the last Health Potion and made a mental note to 'save it for later'. Handing over the Caps to pay for it, he flashes the plump mare a small smile before turning around to leave. "Thanks~!" He yelled from over his shoulder, the door shutting right behind him as he stepped out.

Now back in Stableton, the Pegasus stuffed the Health Potion into his Flank Pouch, taking extra care as to not break it. Well, he's got what he needed, sorta, and he was pretty much ready! All he needs to do now is to head on over to the Black Power Repair store, meet up with Lightning and start for Adventure time!

Crouching down onto his fore hooves, he grinned as his wings stretched out wide, showing them off in all their feathered glory as the tips of his feathers twitched with anticipation and with a mighty beat of his wings, he took into the air, wind rushed through his Cyan coat and feathers, the adrenaline beginning to rush through his veins he ascended several feet into the air, giving him the perfect view of Stableton from the skies. Peering down, his eyes scanned for the 'BPR' Store, his eye lids narrowing as he tried to pick it out from the dozens of other buildi- Aha!

There it was! Lightning said it was in a state of slight disrepair but goddesses there was nothing 'slight' about it! Touching back down onto the ground, the steady beat of his wings caused a bit of a dust cloud to build up but quickly dispersed as soon as his hooves touched the ground. Now where was Lightning...? Looking around, the Pegasus wondered where the pony was....

Honey Dew took the pistol from the unicorn, inspecting it over. Turning it over in her hoof inspecting every bit of the small gun. Nodding slightly, she put the gun back on the table. "Listen Silver, its a good gun, good condition, but the thing is I am not doing any trading because I'm not leaving Stableton until those damn raiders are taken care of. They've gotten to damn bold recently and have been attacking heavier and heavier armed caravans."

Lightning had arrived back at the store before all the rest and he took the opportunity to just wait and relax. Going over his weapons and ammunition, he smiled a little. Everything looked to be in order and there was nothing else he really needed. His canteen was in his bag as well and he expected the others to bring meds.

Throwing the saddle bag back on his back, the sound of flapping wings outside made him perk up his ears. He would walk out and see Sound Wave. The pegasus could chuckle a bit, giving a smile to him as he landed. "Hey! You found it. The others aren't back yet but they should be here soon. Why don't you come on in and double check your items if you need too?"

"Hey! You found it." Hm? Turning his head, Sound Wave gave a smile when he spotted Lightning. "Looks like I did." He chuckled, "Hope you haven't been waiting long, turns out shopping went a little faster than I thought." And how. He mentally added as he took a quick glance towards his lighter money pouch. Looking around he noticed that Lightning and himself were the only ones there. "Is this all of us?"

"The others aren't back yet but they should be here soon. Why don't you come on in and double check your items if you need too?" The Pegasus grinned and gave a single nod of his head. "Good idea. Although I don't really pack much when I'm out in the wastes." Taking a seat, he carefully slid off his Packs from himself and carefully poured out their contents onto the table. Metallic bullets scattered and then were carefully moved into a pile. A health Potion stood all by it's lonesome not too far off, it's contents swirling around in the glass container. What's left of his caps, also set in a pile. An extra Pistol in case he couldn't use his shotgun for whatever reason and finally, some more ammo.

Taking a count of his belongings, Sound Wave could tell that he more than enough for a little journey but he'd have to make his shots count. Ammo was getting scarce lately and his caps were quickly running out. "So lightning." He spoke up, trying to start a conversation as his eyes glancing towards his fellow Pegasus. "Who else is coming along for this little excursion?"

Celestia damned raiders. I could offer to get rid of the raiders, but I can't do with this 9mm. I prefer to settle things from a distance. I might be able to get that rifle of hers. Hmm.

"Tell you what, we'll get rid of the raiders, on one condition. You carry our wares for free and we get all the profit from them. If you refuse, we can just let the raiders stay where they are. Which means you make no money, on account of you being stuck here. Oh, I want the use of your rifle. A 9mm a'int gonna cut it, but I am a damn good markspony. Wouldn't do you much good if we died. You'd be left here, losing money. What do you say?" Silver holds his hoof out.

Jack listened to the conversation and noticed that the cheery light blue pegasus with highlights in his hair didn't know that he was there. He chuckled, and read a few pages of his book, until the highlight pegasus said 'who else was coming to this excursion.'. Jack got up, and moved the book to his saddlebags. He felt proud of his collection of books, and stood proudly, moving his wings to wake them up. It felt great just standing up. It was cutting off circulation to his hooves.

He looked at the pegasi and said a few words. "Jack Trades, nice to meet you."

"phhaahahaha," Honey Dew burst out laughing, drawing the eye of a few other onlookers. It took her a minute but eventually the mare was finally able to talk once again, "ok...ok lets see, first request, um...no, you need me more than I need you, this is a deal for you. Your second request...hell no! I just met you, I'm sure as hell not giving you my personal gun. the earth pony took another gulp of her drink, pausing as she thought up of a suitable offer for the unicorn, before turning back to Silver, "Listen, we'll do this, you get rid of the raiders, and I'll sell your guns, at 60/40...Oh and if you think you're gonna be getting a better offer? Good luck, there aren't any caravans coming through here and those that already are here, yeah they ain't leaving till the raiders are taken care off."

Silver puts his hoof down and smirks at the mare."That's the point. We can still make caps without you, but you can't make any without us. I never really expected you to give up your rifle anyway, it was just a bargaining chip. Here's my final offer. We clear the raiders, and you sell our guns and we split it 75/25. It's either that or you sit here and lose caps. What do you say?"

Lightning would chuckle a bit and say, "Packing light is good. Though I always try and stuff my bag with as much ammunition as I can get." Walking into the store with Sound Wave, the stallion would give a bow of his head to Jack and walked off to let the newest addition to the group check his items.

He would stare off into the distance for a second, coming up with an defensive strategy to how they should travel in the wastes. The best thing for them would probably just be a simple line. Place himself and perhaps Sky in front. The rest can just fall in line behind them. Perking his ears toward Sound's question, he would simply reply, "Well, me, two unicorns named Tesla and Silver, my marefriend, Sky, and Jack over there."

Honey Dew looked as if she was getting rather exasperated by the unicorn with his offers, "Listen hows this, you take care of the Raiders first, after that then we'll discuss how we'll split the caps alright? Hell you get rid of them for good I might even give you some caps of my own, and I'm certain the other ponies stuck here will be just as glad to see them gone as well." As the blue earth pony was about to return to her meal and drink, she quickly turned back to Silver, "Oh and one last thing, if you're gonna go take on the raiders let me tell you this, those ponies are crazy, I mean they were already crazy, but now some of them have even gotten harder to kill. Before getting here, I saw one of those bastards almost get one of her legs blown off, but she still kept on coming. So if you're going, I suggest a nice sized group. Other than that there's not much I can tell you except to search north from here, in the hills is where we were attacked."

Silver gives the mare a cold look. "Hold on miss. I don't do anything before I settle a deal. But the other merchants you say? Hm. Okay, we'll do things your way. We get rid of the raiders and you sell our wares. We split things 60/40, in your favor. If you can convince some of the other merchants to do the same. Absolute final offer. Take it or leave it. If I were you, I would take it."
