Rust Blues[Closed]

As the ant defenders emerged from the factory, Tesla quickly drew his 9mm with his levitation, raising it so he could aim down the pistol's iron sights. Focusing on one of the ants, using his magic, the unicorn pulled the trigger, and was immediately rewarded with a blast from his gun. He continued firing at the enemy, until he had fired seven rounds into the giant insect.

Arc let out a volley of 9mm rounds aimed for the ants, evenly distributed among them to keep them supressed. He really did not wanted them to get all the way to the shop.

Once he'd heard the concrete panel strike the ground, Kipper legged it for the stairs. With all the speed he could muster, he rushed for the ground floor.

((AP 8, and if it matters, Agility 6 and Endurance 6 for running real fast, like speed of sound.))

Seeing his trigger happy friends emptying their guns at the ants coming out of the base, Gunner just shouted "Fuck ammo consumption !" and started shooting out of the window like a lunatic in the general direction of the ants.

Eeew, even from a distance the ants looked creepy, must be the mandibles. Drawing his weapon, the Pegasus took aim, trying to find a spot on the Ants' bodies that would seem most likely to have a weak spot but.... WHERE THE HELL WOULD YOU FIND ONE!? Out of frustration, the Pegasus fired off a couple shots, his aim pointed at the huge black dots that most likely were it's eyes.

Bullets were already flying by the time the ants had caught on who the REAL intruders are. Taking aim once again, Sound Wave noticed that were was something.... "Where's Kipper!?" The sound of pawsteps rumbling up the staircase was his answer and with a sigh of relief he took aim once again only to suddenly misfire and nearly sent a bullet piercing his hoof when a sudden barrage of fire from Gunner surprised him. "Gunner! The Buck are you doing!?" He cried, taking aim once again to let out another shot.

Wave took his time to make his shots, and the results did showed. All of his rounds found their target,the closest ant warrior, in a tight spread, and one of them even magaed to shot off the ants antenna, enraging and cunfusing him at the same time.

Tesla, also not afraid to take carefull aim, placed his shots in the next closest ant, and alike Wave, managed to frenzy the ant by damaging his sensory organs and scoring a hit four other times.

This display of precise marksmanship was intterupted by a literal hailstorm of bullets fron Gunner. His trigger happy mood emptied the whole clip of his pistol, hoewer he managed to hit only three times of the thirteen shots fired.

Afterwards, the front two ants got hit by another two shots for each of them from Arc's trusty old 9mm pistol.

Meanwhile, Kipper made his way downstairs and positioned himself in the shop window to prevent the ants from entering their position.


Two of the ants in front of the concrete slab were damaged, confused, and very pissed. They searched for something to kill, and fond their prey in their other two breathren on the other side of the rubble. Their fight lasted a short while, resulting in one of the frenzied ants dead, and the other one very close to death, while the defending ones were only moderatly hurt. Still, it prevented them from moving for a while.

Tesla mentally counted how much ammo he had used as he watched the Warrior Ant kill off one of its own. It looked to be teetering towards the edge of life as well, an easy enough to kill, and it was attacking its own, so shooting it would be killing a possible distraction. There were still the other two ants, one of was hardly damaged, while the other was significantly more so. The unicorn had six more shots till he was empty. Changing his attention to the lightly damaged warrior, he again raised his pistol taking careful aim as he open fired on the giant insect.

As the sixth shot rang out, Tesla immediately hit the release, dropping the empty magazine to the ground as he levitated a new one into his 9mm. Pulling the slide back, he chambered the first round, ready once again.

"Huh? Why are they attacking their own? No matter, i have... 7 rounds left, that should be enough to finish this, if the luck will hold"

Arc took aim for the more damaged of the unfrenzied ants. Killing off the almost dead one was pointless, that thing would die in a moment anyway, but one could help him with his foe.

"Wooo hooo!!" The Pegasus yelled over the gun fire as he took aim once again, this time aiming for the ant that was hurt the least and fired away, a burst of three shots mixing in with the choir of gunfire as aimed for the eyes!

Gunner tried to shoot several more time before realizing that the hammer of his gun was hitting on an empty chamber.

"Huh, Imf mayf goth tho thriggerf happyf myfselff" He stated, a dumb look across his face and his mouthful of gun making him slur.

Having no spare clip, Gunner had no choice but to extract the current one and reload it manually, picking bullets from his ammo box. When having put 3 round into the clip, he slammed it back on and shot some more in the direction of the ants

He'd heard it on his way down the stairs, of course. The gunfire, that is. As Kipper emerged into the ground floor, he saw just how much he was going to have to revise his machete-centric strategy -- charging through a storm of lead like that probably wouldn't be healthy. He grabbed his pistol instead, found a good spot to shoot the healthiest-looking bug to pieces, and opened fire.

The second barrage of bullets litteraly blown apart the remaining ants. Wawe's careful aim once again managed to pick weak spots on the ant's carapace and caused massive internal damage, enough to bring the ant down. One of the other ant warriors remaining took this event as a distraction, and managed to jump Arc, but Arc and Kipper reacted quickly and litteraly blowed the ant to pieces. After that, Tesla had easy work dispatching the final crippled ant, while Gunner once again sprayed ammunition all over the place while hitting nothing.

All the ants dead, noone hurt.

"Well now," Tesla began, holstering his pistol, as he started searching for the spent casings of the 9mm rounds that had been fired. "I don't know about you guys, but I think that went rather well. With so many in the party firing, there was bound to be plenty of casings on he could use to build more ammunition for the rest of the group. Besides, this was the Wastelands...nothing goes to waste here.

(Action: Searching the ground for bullet casings)

That was.... short. The Pegasus blinked as he examined the dead ants below. Stuffing his pistol back into his Saddlebags the Pegasus turned to the others before staring back at the jumbled mass of ant exoskeleton before letting out a low whistle. "Da-yum, it's a mess down there...." As Tesla began to rummage the floor for bullet casings, the Pegasus had a sudden thought. "Wait, what we doing here again...?"

Tesla kept his nose to the ground, levitating casings that he found into his saddlebags. "We're here to pick up some part for Arc, he said its a water talisman, however this place is bound to have so much stuff for me to use, also maybe even a few guns. This place is built like a fortress...ironic that the fortress is defended by warrior ants." he said with a chuckle. All he needed now was some primer fit for small pistols, gunpowder also used in pistol rounds, and some lead. Hum...if this place was truly built like the fortress he imagined it to be maybe it even had some reloading benches.

Kipper frowned at Tesla as he reloaded his pistol. "That's not ironic," he muttered. He returned his gun to his belt as he knelt down to take a closer look at one of the more intact ant corpses and poke at it with his machete.

Four down, and easily enough, even if it did take a whole lot of shooting. Plus, they'd all but confirmed that the entrance to the nest was inside the factory. He just hoped they couldn't smell their own dead or something.

Gunner started reloading his gun, and took into view the incredible number of bullet casings on the floor.

Whistling, the stallion couldn't help but ask sheepishly "Did I do that ?"

When finished, Gunner re-holstered his gun and looked down the street. "Hum, I'm not an expert, but doesn't ants nest housed thousands of ants before the war ? I know that it was before they got all mutated and grown up, but four isn't too little ? Where are the others ?"

"I think not thousands," Kipper replied, still poking at the huge insect carcass. "Bigger ant needs bigger foods, so thousands bigger ants will starve. Probably lots, still."

He pried a piece of carapace off the abdomen to look at the meat underneath, wondering just how edible these things would be. He moved his head in closer and sniffed inquisitively.

"All I hope for is a that there are either different weapons, plentiful 9mm ammo, or a reloading bench. I mean think about it...I there's what five of us here, and we all use the same type of gun." Finding another casing three casings, Tesla put them back into this bags. "That means whenever we find any 9mm ammo, IF we find any of that ammo, we will have to divide it five ways. So I suggest as soon as we can, we should try and find guns that use different types of ammo. So for now, we are gonna have to start conserving our rounds. I don't know about you guys but I don't want to run out of bullets in a place like this, and end up as ant chow." Looking toward Arc, Tesla straightened up, "So what do you say, should we go inside?"

"Well, it beats standing around here waiting for the next ant guards to come and try to eat us." The Pegasus gave a bit of a grin as his wings gave an experimental flap. "Unless one of us here has a death wish?" Raising a brow, Sound Wave's violet eyes overlooked the group before giving a blink and the ever cheerful smile. "Thought not!" He clopped his hooves together as he pushed himself up to stand on his hind legs for a brief moment. Seeing Kipper tear off the abdomen of one of the Ant Corpse, the Pegasus gave a loud gasp and dashed forward. "Kipper~ Can I have that please?" He asked, flashing his most charming smile as he gestured to the torn piece of carapace.

As the ponies decided to finally head into the factory, Kipper nodded and followed after them, but not before tearing off a sizable chunk of ant meat. Even if it was toxic, it would probably still taste better than bloat sprite jerky.

Kipper stopped in surprise as the weird, singing pegasus asked him about the large section of abdominal carapace he was still holding in one hand. He looked between the two, smiling pegasus and chitinous shell, and then nodded. "Okay. I was just throwing out it, besides," he said, handing over the piece of carapace, which was dripping with still warm ichor. How was this pony planning to carry this thing around, anyway?

Most of the casings left beind by the group from the firefight were, unfortunately, bend, flattened or otherwise damaged by the groups hovves when they maneuvered in the shop, Tesla hoewer managed to find few that escaped this fate.

As others started to move towerd the entrance to the factory, Arc was snapped out of his state of deep thinking. This wasnt time for that, but Arc sometimes had those moments.

"Four ants and we have emptied amost five mags... guys, i have extra ammo on me, but if we keep it this way, we're relly going to end up surrounded and killed. I came here for different reasons, so keep an eye for armory."

Arc was first to climb through the crashed wagon wedged in the heavy loading dock doors, and to enter the factory. What he saw was a large room with a catwalk around, dividing it into two floor. The catwalk aloowoed entry to what appeared to be offices and some storage areas around the perimeter of the catwalk. The catwalk itself was accesed by two metal stairs, one on the side Arc stood, one on the other. Next to the stairs were two doors, probably leading to other parts of the place.

The room was crowned by a large piece of machinery, a huge block of metal, tall almost as the room. Several parralel conveyor belts ran from the machine to the next room, but there were shutters placed on the holes through which they ran, and was impossible to see what lied there. On the other side of the device was a large hole, with pile of boxes with now almost faded Sparkle-Cola logo underneath the hole.

The room was large, but not large enough to make whole of the place, there was likely another room of the same size next to this one.

"Shit... no ants... allright everyone, clear! That means we should expect ambush, or something..."


(I apologize for this taking so long to update. In case i screwed up anything in the description above, ask, i'm really not that experienced with describing stuff in english.)

"Thanks!" Piped the cheery blue Pegasus as the Canine handed him the Ant Carapace. Taking it into his mouth, the Pegasus opened up his saddle bag and stuffed the large piece in, causing his bags to bulge as the contents shifted about to make room for the item. "This might make some good armor... or maybe be worth a good amount of caps.... Hmm... Armor or caps..?" He mused aloud, wondering which of the two to choose as he hummed.

Once inside, everyone looked around the room, ready to fend off more ants, but there were none to be found.

"Shit... no ants... allright everyone, clear! That means we should expect ambush, or something..." Said Arc.

Well, if those bugs were smart enough to do that, they were screwed...

Looking around to take in more details, Gunner saw the pile of boxes behind the heavy machinery. Approaching slowly and carefully, he started rummaging around to see what they were holding.
