Re: Gamer's Day [Wild Wasteland]
Cross curiously stared at the drug cook .....Cross really hated chems, and if he had his mask he'd throw the pegasus out and burn the place down. But apparently this was 'the boss's order' so he kept that to himself and stood in front of the other Stallions.

Re: Gamer's Day [Wild Wasteland]
The pegasus sighed at the lack of enthusiasm from the trio. “Fine.” His grin soon reappeared though. “Ok, this is what you three are going to do. To trick the insurance companies into thinking that you’re injured....You’re all going to jump into traffic!” he exclaimed, thrusting his hooves into the air. He held this pose for several moments, before noticing that the trio lacked his excitement...and seemed more incredulous than anything. He sighed again. “Oh don’t look at me like that. You’ll have some help doing this.” He turned around and grabbed one of the vials of liquid. “These! They’re specially designed drugs that would pretty much make you invincible to blunt impacts! You can dive into cars all day and not get one broken bone!”

Re: Gamer's Day [Wild Wasteland]
Scrap sighed internally at the over enthusiastic pegasus as he explained that in order to trick the medical insurance companies they would be throwing themselves against cars. Figured something like this would happen and not something safe like hacking or running someone over and stealing the insurance money...
"I guess if we feel no pain then this won't be so horrible...then bottoms up I suppose." Scrap said taking the vial of liquid from the pegasus and draining it down.

Re: Gamer's Day [Wild Wasteland]
Zestari was glad when one of her attackers missed her and tumbled over landing on the ground hard but before she could laugh or react, her head flicked back from a blow to the face and she felt the warm trickle of blood from her nose. These ponies meant business.
Backing away, her mind racing to recall her zebra martial arts training she lowered her mass and went into one of the more subtle stances. Hopefully these two bozos wouldn’t know what she was doing, granting her the element of surprise.
The one that had tumbled over her had gotten to his feet, his face distorted by rage. Nodding at one another, he and his partner attacked.
Pirouetting on her front hooves, she lashed out towards them with her rear hooves, a spinning double rear hoofkick to start proceedings off, and let them know she wasn’t going to make it easy for them. She felt something hard give way under her hooves. Using the momentum, she planted her rear hooves and lashed out with a front hoof hoping to lay another sharp crack across the pony’s face.
She almost chuckled to herself, they seemed way outclassed by the group, and she even took a moment of respite to check on the state of the others.

Re: Gamer's Day [Wild Wasteland]
Lightning just stared at the pegasus with a frown. Drinking a liquid he didn't know what was going to do really and what effects it might have against his body THEN toss himself in front of a car? No. That was simply crazy. He would look at Scrap drinking down the liquid before looking at Cross. If the unicorn drank the liquid, then he'll do it. Until then, Lightning would just look at the pegasus and say, "Oh, is that it? Seems a little TOO easy, in my opinion..."

Cross bitterly looked at the others as they chugged down the 'drug'. He twitched a bit when they didn't seem to put up much resistance to the idea... Cross hated chems... this isn't his 'actual' body but still the idea was foreign to him so it must be done.
Curiously staring down at vial, he quickly brought it up and drank the whole thing in one gulp trying to ignore the taste...

Lightning watched as even Cross decided to drink the liquid...great...Looks like it was his turn. Taking the vial, he stared at the liquid before letting out a long sigh. Here goes nothing. Pouring it down his throat, he resisted the urge to gag and quickly swallowed as fast as he could.

Re: Gamer's Day [Wild Wasteland]
Upon drinking the strange liquid, Cross and the others began to feel....Tingly. It didn’t feel like any drugs from the wasteland, assuming any of them were even familiar with them, but it did feel weird. A few seconds later, the three of them suddenly felt a feeling of invincibility fill their bodies, making them feel like they could take on anything and not even get a scratch.
“Alright, it looks like it’s working! Now, go out into the city, find someplace with a lot of traffic, and just throw yourselves into it! Don’t worry, you’re going to be pretty much invincible for the next hour or so, you’ll be fine!”
As if on cue, all their phones beeped. Pulling them out, they’d all see a new marker on their maps, in the Red Light District on the lower island, close to Purgatory. The marker was placed on what looked like an intersection, and at the same time they’d notice a new objective has appeared on their EFS.
‘Go to the Red Light District’
Kestrel’s brutal attack against the first pony worked, his face bloodied and broken in the aftermath of it. The pony simply groaned as he laid there, having no real inclination to get up after having his face smashed into bits like that.
The second pony, however, was a lot quicker then his friend, and ducked right under Kestrel’s talons. Taking advantage of the opening, he whirled around and lashed out with his hind legs, bucking Kestrel right in the chin and sending him hurtling into the cage, slamming into it hard as another significant chunk of his lifecircle vanished.
Meanwhile, Bakewell was doing much better, both her opponents getting smashed into various surfaces. The first one was having trouble getting up after that, while the second one was quicker to get back on his hooves, rushing for Bakewell and trying to batter the mare into the cage like she just did to the other stallion. However, the previous slamming seemed to have left the buck discombobulated, and he ended up stumbling and missing the mare entirely, while also leaving himself open for another attack.
(Er, a note for the future Zestari, I’m actually rolling for this fight, so try not to take over the actions of the fighers.)
Meanwhile, Zestari’s wicked martial arts moves caught the bucks off guard, the spinning double rear hoofkick smacking them both in the face, hard. They stumbled around a bit, but seemed to catch on quickly and avoided the follow-up attack from the zebra. Snarling, one of the two dashed forward and tried to headbutt the zebra, although Zestari managed to easily dodge the move. What she couldn’t dodge was the second buck jumping into the air and slamming his shoulder into the zebra’s back, before kicking her away while she was down. The vicious move knocked away a quarter of the ‘healthcircle’ on Zestari’s EFS.

Re: Gamer's Day [Wild Wasteland]
Kes grunted at his opponents successful hit, letting the momentum carry him back a bit. Damn, these guys were a bit faster than expected.
Still he had taken one of them down, and the others seemed to be doing fine in their fights.
Kes locked his gaze with that of his opponent, and decided he would let his opponent attack first this time. Kestrel had always been better at delivering counter attacks anyway.
Keeping his distance Kestrel prepared for the next attack. Should his opponent rush at him and spin around for another buck to the face Kestrel would side step and then leap into the air, trying to tackle his opponent to the ground.
Hopefully he would be able to take the buck by surprise and land on top of him, the gyrphon's significant weight would allow him to hold the stallion down for his follow up; a brutal series of full power punches delivered right into the stallions head.
If the attacks did not knock him out it should at least mess him up. Badly.

Re: Gamer's Day [Wild Wasteland]
The unarmed mare attempted to take advantage of the disoriented Stallion’s miss by turning and bucking him as he stumbled clumsily past. The other enemy was still having trouble getting to his hooves, so Bakewell took the free time to relocate; if she let the two surround her there would be no way to keep track of them both at once.
If the two ponies were this dazed from a single blow, she wasn’t betting on them staying in the fight too much longer.

The tingly feeling started to grow as the drug spread through his system and soon suddenly afterword he felt invincible, as if nothing could touch him. Simply put, he felt amazing.
Walking out to Cross's car Scrap opened the door and waited for him to drive to where the new marker was on the EFS.

*FLASH* *BUCKLE* *SCREECH* As soon as Cross go the next assignment on the EFS he had already teleported the three of them back in the car, buckled up, and slammed the steel, sending several ponies on the sidewalk flying. It wouldn't be too long now before they were in the Red Light District. Strange name, ...Cross curiously wondered why it was called that. Nonetheless he was making record time since the road seemed to be more clear than usual.
The lack of pain though made everything ...feel funny... so Cross wasn't exactly as sensitive to his driving as usual, not that he really cared for driving on the right side anyway.

Re: Gamer's Day [Wild Wasteland]
Sliding across the ground, Zestari allowed herself a moment to catch her breath and glance at the circle that had just been depleted by a quarter. That probably wasn't a good thing.
Getting to her hooves, she reassessed her actions. Taking a few steps backwards from the pair of assailants, she slid into a different stance. This was a more defensive stance intended to turn her foes attacks back on themselves.
She didn't taunt them this time. No, the fight had become serious. Instead, in her mind she repeated the moves she might require to beat these tough ponies and bit her lip as they approached.

Lightning simply shrugged off the feeling of being invincible. To be honest, the heartbreak he had to suffer through earlier made him care less of what the drug was doing inside his body. One teleportation flash later, all three stallions were back in the car and driving to the Red Light District. He could only wonder what throwing himself in front of a car could feel like. At least Cross wasn't hitting ponies walking on the sidewalk this time.

Re: Gamer's Day [Wild Wasteland]
Kestrel’s remaining opponent did charge like the griffin predicted. However, what the griffin didn’t predict was the buck dashing to the side at the last second, intent on attacking the griffin at this flank. And as luck would have it, the buck dashed to the side the griffin was planning on side-stepping towards. And before his, admittedly quick, brain could think to go the other way, he got another buck in the side by the apparently skilled stallion. Any counterattacks directly proceeding that were deftly dodged by the buck, things just weren’t going Kestrel’s way right now.
Meanwhile, despite the buck’s state, Bakewell’s buck managed to miss him completely. However, in his stumbling the buck also managed to hit his head on the cage lining the arena, causing him to fall over as he rubbed his head. Unlike Kestrel’s opponent, he didn’t seem very competent. However, the other seemed to have shaken himself out of his daze at this point, and wasn’t particularly happy at Bakewell. He charged forward, bringing his head forward and smashing it into the mare’s with an audible crack. The blow severely dazed Bakewell, causing her to stumble back as the stallion prepared his next blow.
Meanwhile, the fighters up against Zestari were ready for more action. One of them, the one who missed his headbutt earlier, dashed ahead first, whipping around as he neared and bucking the mare in the face. However, the zebra was able to successfully block the move, before unleashing a counterattack that left the stallion stunned and on the ground. She was, however, once again caught off-guard by the second buck, who slammed into her with his shoulder, knock her breath away but not knocking her to the ground this time. The deduction on her health wasn’t as severe this time either.
Cross and co. soon arrived at the spot in the map, parking off the side of the road to stop particularly heavy and fast stream of traffic that was moving through here from crashing into their car. Semis, large vans, trucks, many large vehicles were passing through here at high speeds, making this the perfect place to throw yourself into traffic for fun and profit.
As they left their vehicle, the marker vanished and, in its place, the three could see a circle on their minimaps that encompassed the entire intersection and much of the area around it. Their objective also changed, the top half saying ‘Cash Earned: 0/60,000’ and the bottom half showing an empty ‘Adrenaline Bar’.
With all that said, they had a bunch of fast-moving vehicles to throw themselves into. Time to get started.
(Note, I will not be heavily GWing this activity at this point, unless you guys really want it for some reason. Just go nuts with throwing your characters into the vehicles and have fun. Note that the ‘Adrenaline Bar’ fills up from getting hit, and once it’s filled up by repeated hits your character will basically go flying after getting hit and can even control where he lands, letting him hit even more cars on the way down and earn more money. Like I said, go nuts with this.)

Re: Gamer's Day [Wild Wasteland]
Kestrel frowned a bit as his opponent landed another hit. Now this was just getting irksome. If this kept up things would just end up getting far out of grasp and Kestrel would become annoyed.
That would be VERY bad.
Still standing Kestrel shifted to face his opponent and prepared his next attack. Running over the details of it in his mind. It would not be pretty, but in all honesty Kestrel had been holding back a bit. He had talons, a beak, and the skills to back up using them.
Fighting conventionally was worthless, so it was time to fall back on instinct and the tactics that Filly had given him. Shifting himself into a more aggressive stance Kestrel began to circle, hoping to have his opponent mimic him. If he could that would put him in a prime position to strike.
Without warning the gryphon would push off into a hard run, dodging to the side at the last second to avoid possible counter attacks, and then he would twist himself around; bringing his talons up in a violent arc.
Should the attack go as planned Kestrel attack would leave some very nasty wounds along the side of the his opponent, if not outright gut him like some kind of fish. Plus he would then be in the position where he could just tackle the stallion down and tear into him further right after that.
Which he would do without hesitation should the situation call for it.

Starry took off down the road toward the meetup for the cop show. First, though, she had to stop off at a laundromat to get the blood cleaned off her clothes. then, it was off to the repair shop to replace a tire that came loose on her Toad. Starry was also feeling a bit hungry, and decided to buy a sandwich with the blood-soaked money she had taken from her enemies' corpses. The cashier was too afraid to ask about the blood, which bothered Starry, because she was so eager to share the story.
Anyway, after keeping Violet waiting for what felt like an eternity, Starry's clothes were finally cleaned, and her toad finally repaired, and her hunger sated, but no amount of food would sate her hunger for theatrical justice! They were finally en-route to the event.

Okay, maybe ignoring that guy hadn’t been such a great idea after all.
Bakewell stumbled back with a small gasp from the blow. She had always considered herself to have a hard head, but apparently simulations were made of steel! She struggled to maintain a proper footing as her eyes crossed dizzyingly. There was no way she would be able to properly dodge a blow, not in this state. She was just going to have to do her best to block. Maybe if she got incredibly lucky she would recover in time to exploit an opening with an attack. Hopefully the other buck would be too dazed from head-butting to retaliate because there was no way she could handle attacks from both of them right now.

Cross stared out into the road as cars went by as incredible speeds... Sure this was a video game and it couldn't be that bad... Just have to resist natural instincts. Still as he watched the roaring engines soar by he figured it was best that at only one of them test the game first. He turned to the other two bucks that were with him and eyed them curiously.
"...Alright so who wants to volunteer first?..."
(Telekinesis on Scrap's right hoof)
"Ahh thanks for volunteering, Scrap! alright, now show us how its done" Cross's heart lept as car narrowly missed him as it edged towards the sidewalk.
"Don't worry, ...take your time"

Re: Gamer's Day [Wild Wasteland]
Lightning just watched speechless as all the cars sped past them at high speeds. They were going to toss themselves into THAT?! Letting out a light groan, he would bury his face in his hooves. Shaking his head, he muttered, "I can't believe I'm going to be doing this." On another note though, he noticed two new icons on his EFS. One showing how much money they earned and the other was an 'Adrenaline' meter.
When Cross asked who wanted to go first, Lightning just turned away, pretending that he didn't hear him. Thankfully though, he picked Scrap over him. The pegasus would turn and look into the back seat as he decided to give the other unicorn in their group some words of encouragement as well. "You can do it, Scrap. Just...be careful..."

Scrap was staring out at the cars whizzing by, wondering what kind of crazy pony could have designed this activity, when Cross asked for any volunteers and he felt his hoof move upward despite his mental protests. Simply sighing he edged closer to the road before talking.
"I'm about to walk in to a street to get run over for money-I don't think its possible for me to be safe..."
Finishing his sentence he took several steps into the busy road and was promptly hit by a car, going very very fast. The impact sent Scrap skittering up over the hood and roof of the car and into the path of another which plowed right into him, not even stopping as he was dragged underneath it before coming to a stop.
As Scrap was flying over the hood of the first car, he reflected upon the fact that despite his pessimistic doubts the drug worked and he wasn't a bloodstain on the virtual road.
"Hey guys, the drug worked! I cant feel a thing!"

Re: Gamer's Day [Wild Wasteland]
Cross looked at Scrap's cheeful smile and chuckled slightly. They were invincible? This meant they could have some fun with this. Cross watched as another car came zooming by and dived foward and fell flying back as he slid across the hood. BUCK that actually felt good! it was getting the blood pumping! Cross started backon his hooves and saw a black sedan zooming in on him. He lowered his eyes and smiled at the incoming car as it sent him flying once more, but a little higher, he even managed to control himself and land right on top of Flash.
"Hey Flash you really got to try this!" Cross didn't wait for an answer before his horn lit up and he dragged Flash across the payment. The worst you got 'hurt' the better this was! Cross held Flash against the blacktop so he could watch from the sidewalk as Flash's fate was sealed.
In the form of an incoming 18 wheeler.
This was going to be good.

Re: Gamer's Day [Wild Wasteland]
At the respite in the fight, Zestari looked at the circle of health it was half depleted so far. That probably wasn’t a good thing. She briefly wondered what happened when it was depleted. Did the simulation end for her? Did she die in real life? She frowned and tried to push it from her mind. Such things could be thought about later.
Despite the damage she’d just taken, she still thought that this defensive technique was probably the best, the attacker dazed on the ground seemed a bit out of it, now she could try and focus on the more fit of the two. Still she wanted the standing one to act now; every second longer he waited, the one on the ground would be back up and able to help. Thinking quickly, she smirked at him, “Can’t beat up a mare by yourself? Need your friend to hold your hoof?”
Circling slowly, she kept her back towards the wall and them in front of her.

Re: Gamer's Day [Wild Wasteland]
Lightning watched as a car sent Scrap flying across the pavement. Wincing mentally, he told himself that he'll probably sit out on this one. He would watch as Cross got hit by a car and by the look of his smile, it seemed as the unicorn was enjoying it. And then the unicorn had to go get hit by another car and land on top of him at the same time. "Hey!" Before Lightning could react, he was tend dragged out on the blacktop and he could feel a magical force holding him down. To make matters worse, a huge 18 wheel truck was coming straight at him. "Oh damn i-"
The truck hit him, sending him flying a rather considerable distance away. As he hit against the pavement, the pegasus would get up and shake himself off. "Huh...that actually didn't hurt..." Leaping up into the air, he would use his wings to propel him into another car, sending him flying away once again but this time, he had a slight bit more control, "This is actually kinda fun!"

Re: Gamer's Day [Wild Wasteland]
Scrap watched as Lightning and Cross joined him in getting hit by cars after he yelled. Lightning taking an 18 wheeler to the face was especially humorous, though he didn't get to see all of the impact as a car nailed him as he was laughing sending him flying forwards into the rear bumper of another.
Getting up a goofy smile was plastered on his face as he charged toward a car that was coming toward him at a velocity much faster then what was the legal limit in the signs. As he was sliding limply over the windshield he yelled to no one in particular.
"This is awesome!"
