When Lightning went to sit on the passenger seat in Cross' vehicle, the last thing he expected was a flaming, exploding car. He didn't even notice his vehicle on fire when he walked away from it. The second he shut the door after he got in Cross' car, his own car exploded in a huge fireball. The shock wave hit them both rather hard and it sent Lightning nearly falling over out of his seat. Flames nearly surrounded them and he could feel the heat even from inside the vehicle.

Nearly traumatized and suddenly very annoyed, he would pull himself back up onto his seat and yell at nopony in particular, "What the HELL was that?! What do they put in these things?!" He would take a deep breath and say, "Let's just get out of here..."

Bakewell had managed to pull out of the garage with ease. This whole driving deal wasn’t too hard, the most difficult thing to it was probably finding a simulation program to pump your brain full of all the instructions it needed!

Doubtlessly unlike the others, the chef-darbed earth pony felt little need to cause massive damages in order to enjoy herself. Beating up and taunting innocent bystanders had been such an everyday occurrence in the stable that she felt the simulation would offer nothing interesting in that aspect, even if the ways she could do so seemed more… flavorful… now.

Besides, she didn’t do stuff like that anymore. Just because ponies were simulated didn’t mean they didn’t have feelings! She would just drive around, a nice pleasant affair. Keep track on the green dots upon her EFS, just in case. La de d- oh no! That suspiciously green coated mare with a clover cutie-mark tried to cross the street without looking both ways! During a red light! Tragic, there was no way Bakewell could ever hope to stop in time! Guess the poor pony's cutie mark didn’t stand for good luck! Tee-hee~.

Okay, enough of that. Back to driving and checking on the green dots.

Sky drove off to the from the group, crashing her truck over smaller cars. and she drove off to the sidewalk, she ran over ponies with her big truck. Sky since this was a simulation, why not have fun with it. Until she ran over some ponies wearing yellow, a weird symbol appeared on her EFS. Suddenly yell cars out of nowhere rammed into her truck pinning her into a massive car pile up, Sky wasn't happy. "Want someone to pick with," Sky said as she exited the vehicle, her battle saddle and sub machine gun appeared. thanks to the massive car pile up most or all of the ponies that attacked Sky were on the outside of the pile, as they mindlessly shot at the cars.

Sky kept her head down, going into a prone like position to avoid the incoming fire. She felt the tug of her mane, a bandanna on her mane. She took it off and placed it over her mouth, like it covered like those bandits from the wasteland. She decided to keep her hoodie down, she looked alot cuter with it down. The pot shots had stopped but she knew they were still there, she jumped onto a car. And out roared her Light machine gun, Sky didn't care if more of them came, she would just shoot until they all died.

As Kestrel went on his way after murdering a rude, and stupid (I mean, these guys should know who the Saints are at this point) stallion, he found himself stopping at a red light as the car in front of him also stopped. Before he could try to go around, he saw out of the corner of his eye several zebras wearing suits similar to Zestari’s walking up to him, although these suits were yellow and black instead of purple and white. They also were each armed with a katana like Violet’s, along with various conventional firearms.

The zebras surrounded Kes, leering at him and grinning. “So, this is the Saint’s sharpshooter we’ve all heard so much about? He doesn’t look that tough.” said one of them. “Yeah, I mean, look at this piece of shit bike. It’s nothing the ones we have in the Ronin.” commented another. “Yeah, and he’s an ugly son-of-a-bitch too. Which is pretty much standard for the Saint’s.” said another. “Well, not all of them. That one zebra’s they got’s not bad looking, wouldn’t mind riding that flank. Hey, how bout after we’re done with this asshole we see if can hunt her down? Have a little fun with her? It shouldn’t be that hard, we’d outnumber her.”

In the span of thirty seconds, these Ronin had managed to display a startling combination of stupidity, arrogance, and a sheer lack of common sense. In all likelihood, no one would mourn their passing, even if this was real.

Meanwhile, at the road Scrap was testing his guns, the unicorn would find that only after a few seconds of concentrated fire to the front of the car, the entire thing started to burn like a bonefire. Several seconds later (and shorter if he kept firing), the entire car exploded like it was loaded with grenades, shooting off into the sky a bit before the burning, charred wreck came crashing back to the ground.

Kestrel offered only a stray blink when the zebras approached him. He counted 6, each more idiotic and foolish than the last. They were rookies...all of them. Insignificant, weaklings not worth the dirt off Kestrels feathers.

He was going to just leave them be. But then they walked up to him, surrounded him on his bike, cut off his simple escape, and most of all they insulted and threaten Kestrel's best friends mare. They were going to die now. Painfully. Looking up at the light Kes guessed he had about thirty seconds before he had to drive off.

    Plenty of time.

Without word or warning Kes lashed out his talons sinking into the faces of the zebra to his direct left. Gouging out the idiots eyes in a splattering of gore before Kes gave his skull a sudden twist to the side. The sound of cracking bone and wet smack of blood on concrete was quickly offset by another loud crack.

Kes had yanked his arm free, along with most of the zebras face, only to elbow the zebra to his right right in the muzzle. It shattered like glass under the immense strength of the highly trained gryphon merc, sending the punk sprawling flat on his back on the sidewalk a few feet away.

The zebras, actually catching on that they were getting their asses kicked drew their swords and started to swing at the gryphon. He stopped the blades easy enough. One bouncing harmlessly off of the massive rifle on his back. The other attacker finding himself disarmed with a sudden, acute case of lead poisoning to the brain case.

His sword felt nice in Kestrels grip. It felt even better when it pierced through the head of the zebra that had just tried to scratch up his rifle.

    3 down, 3 to go.

With a grunt Kes deployed the kickstand on his bike and propelled himself backwards, into the air, and off of his bike. The two sword users that had been in mid swing, missed and soon found themselves in a bit of a predicament.

Kes was airborne...and they were helpless to stop what came next.

Kes landed just behind them, already starting the motions of his next attack. Kes grabbed the pony to the left, again shoving his talons right through the eye sockets and into the brain case. His other talon reached up from below, grabbing hold of the scrawny zebras neck and tearing out a majority of the kids throat in a terrible splaying of gore and viscera.

A quick twist and a series of stomach churning snaps later and Kes had himself a headless equine and a new melee weapon.

A weapon that he used to smash in the other zebras skull. Turns out two heads are sometimes not better than one.

Only one zebra was left now, the stupid punk that had started all of this and was currently trying to crawl away; his face replaced by a mask of pure agony and terror at what his words had unleashed.

    He would not escape.

Kes pulled out his .44 and shot the buck where it counted. Right in the balls. He then quickly reloaded and then climbed back on top of his bike, kicked up the kick stand and popped the clutch.

His gaze flickered up to the light, which, just after he put the bike in gear, turned green. Kes rode off then, without saying a single word.

The gang would know not to fuck with him now. And hopefully, they would know not to mention Zestari EVER again as well.

All in all, things had gone well.

Scrap was reloading his machine guns when the vehicle he had chosen to riddle full if holes was launched skyward following a large explosion. When his initial reaction of cower from the big explosion by hiding behind his hooves was finished he peeked out just in time to see the still flaming wreck of a vehicle come crashing down onto another parked car.

He knew that they were simulations but Scrap felt a pang of guilt over how much it would suck to come out and find your car blown up or with the flaming hulk of another car on top of it. Pushing that out of his mind he put his guns away and started to walk back to his car, whistling as nonchalantly as he could manage.

Starry put the phone back in her pocket. "Looks like we got a mission from the boss, kill some Ronins!"

Starry revved up the engine, guiding the steering wheel with one hoof while gripping the RPG in the other, with the added support of levitation magic.

"Come on, everypony! Let's ride!" Starry shouted, before driving out of the garage. She'd wander the town looking for the first Ronins she could find. No sense getting out of the toad to fight them, she can just do a drive-by, blasting them to bits from her vehicle!

*BAM*, As soon as Cross had pressed the trigger telekinectically, the gun flew across the car and hit the passenger side glass window, creating a giant fracturing crack. Blinking several times, Cross was impressed, he pulled back the cane over to his side as Flash made his way around. This thing sure....packed a punch, but he preferred his magic any day anyways

Cross grinned as he looked over to Flash as he got in the car. But jerked his head when the car he shot spontaneously combusted for some reason....
Slowly he lifted his head off the wheel and gazed out the window, watching the embers leap up from what used to be Lightning's ride.

What such a delicate vehicle... and Flash was almost going to be driving around in that? Poking his head out, Cross frowned at all the damage the explosion had down to his own car....huge gaping dents, paint peeling off, and even one of the wheels looked unaligned...They needed to make a pit stop

Turning back to calm Flash's yells, Cross raised one hoof signaling him to calm down, chuckling.

"Relax.....Its probably just the simulation not being able to keep up with how awesome I am, anyways...buckle up and lets go..." Cross pushed what he thought might've been a forward mechanism and the car launched onto the streets, hitting several pedestrians on the sidewalk as he made a far turn. Cringing he called out to them, he wasn't sure if simulations could get revenge.

"Ooopps!!! Sorry about that sirs!!!!" Shaking his head and turning his eyes back on to the road. He looked at his EFS for the nearest 'Rimjobs' to make this vehicle even tougher, if he could get any advantage against the Game Warden, might as well do it now.

"Alright so heres the plan....I don't know what the buck they use for currency here, so when we get in there, we're going ask them politely once...., then we ask at gunpoint. Simple"

Lightning just shook his head and told himself mentally to calm down. "Sure...let's go with that." Apparently though, Cross wasn't as good as a driver as he expected as his first turn ended with a pile of dead pedestrians. Or if they aren't dead, they are certain in pain right now. Facehoofing, the pegasus watched as the unicorn shouted something quickly at them before speeding back off, searching for a 'Rimjobs'.

He might as well make himself useful and pulled out his fancy little phone, opening up the map of the city. Looking at the little markers which were suppose to represent the others, Lightning couldn't help but sigh a little. "Well, it looks like Kes is out traveling alone and the others are slowly beginning to spread out. Looks like it's just going to be you and me." At Cross' plan, it figured he would try force to get what he wanted. But this was all a simulation anyways. No ponies to hurt. Except themselves...but that was the least of their worries. "Alright then. But we should consider finding their currency. Would make things a whole lot easier once we do."

“Oooh! Count me in Starry! That sounds like a blast!” Violet replied as the older mare sped out of the garage on her Toad. The filly drove her Pulse up to Starry. “We’ll need to find some first though! Wonder where their hideout or territory or something is...” she muttered as she pulled out her phone and activated the map, looking for any obvious signs of Ronin territory....And of course missed the big glaring sections of the map that were yellow.

Post by Sky Thu Jun 14, 2012 2:16 am

Sky probably spent a couple hundred bullets firing at the ronin ponies, many of them limping to get away but Sky didn't let them run or limp away. With every new car that came into the show, she shot up and exploded before they can reach Sky in the pile up. Until they stopped coming for no apparent reason, Sky didn't want to keep fighting. She had gotten bored in the killing field. So she jumped back in to her truck, revved the engine, and smashed her way out of the pile up. As she pushed cars and ponies out of the way, she checked her hoofphone? She checked the map to see where everypony was, only one caught her site. Flash. All the while Sky was using the phone, she was on the side walk yet again, running over the ponies like a crazy mare drunk.

Somewhere along the way she crashed into a car, leaving a gas station. Sky checked the damages on her truck, it seemed to be brutal on her ride. She checked her phone and found RimJobs, a place that fixed rides and such. But they probably asked for money, Sky needed cash quick to fix her ride. Seeing the gas station, she galloped towards the cashier, "You give me all the cash now!" Sky said with her battle saddle pointed at the unicorn cashier, Then she noticed something behind the counter.

"Whats that behind you?" She asked,

"Just some blunts you smoke." he complied

"Give me one." Sky told him, as she lowered her gun.

"o-ok." he stuttered as he lit one and used his unicorn magic to give Sky the blunt, Sky pulled down her bandana and snatched the blunt with her teeth off, while it floated towards her. She took a deep intake, and huffed out the smoke, she repeated a couple times until her vision and mind started to go weird.

"This stuff is great, put some more in the bag with the cash and ill be on my way." Sky said as took the bag from the unicorn, She had some cash, was apparently high. And now she was off to go find flash, with the marker she pinpointed on him being a big help. Sky was back inside her truck, and off to go find Flash.

As Mona examined her car, checking the instructions on her phone for details on how to drive it, she heard Starry mention their apparant mission. To go butcher a whole lot of 'Ronin'.

Now that was something Mona could do.

    "Mission accepted."

The tall unicorn said, as she opened up the door of her Temptress, got in and followed the control instructions on her phone as she revved the engine and drove after Starry and Violet. The phone certaintly hadn't been lying about the vehicle's speed and manuverability, and Mona found she actually had a fairly easy time using it. Easy or not though, it felt incredibly strange to use.

Post by Zestari Thu Jun 14, 2012 8:05 am

Once Zestari reached the street she pointed the bike down the roadway and twisted the throttle. With a howl, the bike shot forward and she quickly flicked through the gears, she grinned widely before letting out a howling laugh at the exhilaration of the experience, the wind lashing at her face as the streets turned into a blur alongside her.

She slowed and leant over hard, the bike swinging around the corner like it was glued to the road beneath her. For now, with a grin on her face she was happy to just race around Stillwater, dodging between sluggish cars and dull pedestrians until, ping! A bullet sparked off the cowling of the bike and she spun her head to see a group of yellow jacketed zebras shooting towards her.

Her first thought was ‘hey zebras’ but as the bullets pinged around her, she instead yelled out a stream of obscenities at them, and then with a cackle, raced off on her bike. Driving for a bit longer, she briefly considered heading back to test the weapons glued to her back out on those other zebras. But instead decided to head towards one of the purple icons on her map, perhaps get some backup.

Heading towards one, she approached a massive vehicle with almost comically large wheels. Who was it driving, she wondered, before recalling Bakewell slinging herself into the cabin earlier. She yelled out to her housemate, but over the sound of roaring engines, couldn’t attract her attention, so she had to pick a gap in the traffic and hoon past Bakewell to get her attention. Waving her fore hooves at the earth pony, she tried to get her to slow down.

Bakewell was starting to feel guilty about the green mare she had hit, sure the initial act had been oddly satisfying, but it wasn’t nice! What if simulations had feelings? Actually, scratch that. She hoped it had feelings so that she could knock buck out of them for trapping her friends and a yellow unicorn in the first place. What if there were other ponies in here though, other actual ponies? She had better tone down the random acts of violence. She didn’t want to hurt anypony she didn’t need to- oh, a dot! Zestari! Hi, Zestari! How are you? What are you doing Zestari oh no put your hooves back on the handlebars that’s dangerous. Look, I’m pulling over, see? You have my attention, please stop waving!

Bakewell lowered the truck’s window and arched her forehooves over the door, allowing her to lean her head out from her parked position in the middle of a sidewalk. She turned the noisy engine off, no use having to yell over it.

“Wasn’t me what done it, officer!” The pony joked in as sweet a voice as she could manage as she beamed out of the window down at her zebra friend.

Twisting her head to watch Bakewell she watched the earth pony slow her massive vehicle and come to a stop. Turning the bike, she pulled up alongside her.

"Officer?! I'm not in the army, Bakewell!" The zebra smiled up at her housemate, before getting straight to the point, "There were these nasty types with guns, they wore yellow jackets, and they were Ronin, I think." She furrowed her brow and tapped her chin, "Anyway, They tried to shoot me; don’t worry, they missed, and I raced away from them. Want to help me get them back?"

"I mean, we might be able to get my Kenshin in the back of your... carriage thing... Then you can drive and I can shoot from the passenger side."

    "What do you think?"

His nonchalant walk back to his vehicle completed without interruption, Scrap hopped back into his car and veered into traffic sending several other vehicles screeching into the horde of innocent pedestrians unlucky enough to be standing around looking at the exploded husk of the car he had shot.

He quickly adjusted himself to the traffic patterns to avoid standing out-standing out more then a purple old car driven by a unicorn decked out in purple clothing did already-and headed towards a couple of the markers on his map.

Approaching the two markers, Scrap saw the Bakewell's giant vehicle and Zestari's much smaller motorcycle. He pulled up to where they were parked and shut his car off catching the tail end of the conversation before speaking up.

"Hiya Bakewell, Zestari. Think I can help too?"

Post by Kestrel Thu Jun 14, 2012 9:56 pm

Kestrel pulled off on the side of the street and pulled out his phone, bringing up the map and looking it over. He noticed that he was driving around in a section of the map that was colored yellow.

The gears in his head quickly began clicking into place and finally Kestrel made the connection. The map was colored according to the gang that occupied that part of the city.

He was somewhere in Zebra Territory right now. So that meant there would be more of those weakling gangsters walking around for sure. All Kes needed to do was find them.

Restarting his Bike and putting away his phone, Kes took off to what he had marked down as a decent location. Upon arriving Kes parked and got off his bike, silently making his way over to a rather tall building that offered a great vantage point over this part of the city.

He pushed off the ground and started flapping his massive wings, propelling himself to the top of the building with ease. Once there he walked over to the edge and set himself up.

Time to see what this monster of a rifle on his back could do.

Kes set the rifle up on the edge of the building and placed himself in a comfortable shooting position. Looking down the scope Kestrel could a good supply of Gangsters for him to shoot. All walking around ignorant of the horror that was about to thin their ranks from atop the roof of this innocent looking building.

Glassing over the area Kes made a mental map of what was where, and possible choke points. It was an old tactic of his, that way he knew where to start aiming when the shit hit the fan.

Area mapped out, the Hunter selected his first target. Some young buck that was straddling his bike and apparently chatting with some friends of his. The conversation was about to be cut short.

Squeezing the trigger Kes felt the rifle buck hard against him, the pressure wave off the end of the barrel blowing up dust and filling the air with a terrible roar as it sent a round down range.

In a sudden, roaring explosion the buck and his buddies were sent flying. Kes has shot it right in the gastank, and just like the skycars back in the wasteland it ruptured violently.

Kes made note of this fact, and quickly re-engaged. Another round flying down range to smack one of the downed bikers in the chest.

It almost tore him in half.

'Not bad...' The gryphon commented already looking for more targets.

“Ronin?” Bakewell asked curiously. “Well, maybe we shouldn’t… Wait, they shot at you?!?”

In a surprisingly fluid single motion Bakewell opened her car door and hopped down to the pavement as Scrap approached.

“Yeah. I think your bike would probably fit into Wheelsies’ back. Dunno how well it’ll stay there, though. There’s also no way Scrap’s Boxy will fit.” She thought out loud. “I definitely don’t mind you coming with us though, Scrap. If you leave your car here it should be safe, right? We can just come back and get it after we make these dolts pay for shooting at my friend!”

The mare managed to open the back of the huge truck and was currently trying to think of a way to get the two wheeled vehicle safely secured into her bed.

“Oh. There’s only two seats so one of you will have to sit in my lap while I drive. Don't worry, I'm a really good driver so we'll be perfectly safe!”

*zzzzooooooommmmmm* Cross finally started figured out how to get the radio going, and he got his Classical music up. and started to finally enjoy the simulation, unfortunately he and Flash reached another snag before Rimjobs....

*BANG* something big and white flew over the hood of the car. Cross had the Blade come down to a screeching halt.... He took one look at Flash and went outside, slowly walking back to the figure that had gotten in the way of his car... Everyhoofstep echoed loudly as ponies ran away scream... Cross's hood hid his shadowing figure. Once he stood over the unconscious figure, he used the end of his cane to tap it, make sure it was down.

Once he was certain, he opened the trunk of his car and used his magic to toss the pony in the trunk. Why? just because. Once he closed the door with a small *click* he turned tail and got back in the seat and closed the door behind it. Securing his cane, he gave Flash a small chuckle and continued driving like nothing had happened.

Not far from Rimjobs, Cross couldn't help but break out laughing about the figure in the trunk.

Lightning smiled and laughed a little when Cross got his music up. Listening to the music silently, the pegasus would stare out the car's window, looking up at the big, blue, simulated, sky. Despite knowing that this was all fake, he would just love to take off and fly right now. Perhaps later, he would get an opportunity to fly.

His thought would be cut short as Cross hit something and set the figure flying over the car. Glancing back at the unicorn, Lightning would watch as Cross got out of the car and walked back to whatever it was they hit. After watching him poke the thing, the pegasus watched, to his dismay, as the pony decided to toss the thing into the trunk of the vehicle.

Once Cross got back in and resumed driving, Light would let him have his little laughing moment before asking, "So...what was that we hit and why are you sticking it in the car?"

Kes lined up another shot at the unfortunates below him. The weapon roared to life and sent another round screaming downrange.

It hit a panicking buck in the torso, tearing him clean in half in a fraction of a second. Blood and liquified guts went splattering all over the pavement.

    And his buddy behind him.

The other zebra did not have to worry though, the terrified thoughts on his mind were quickly dispatched. Along with the rest of his skull.

Kes attempted to pull the trigger again but nothing but a click echoed out. Damn, only 5 shots on this rifle. Kes gave a near silent grunt and began to reload. Pulling a fully loaded magazine out of seemingly nowhere and jamming it into the rifle and chambering a round.

Then he was back on his hunt. Who was next to fall...

Starry checked her own map. It would take only a brief search, but Starry was getting impatient. "Forget the map! Let's just start driving, and shoot at the first Ronin we see!"

Starry drove off, and as luck would have it, she happened to wander her way into the Ronin side of town. Upon seeing the yellow they wore, Starry felt an immense rush of excitement. She turned to Violet, as she brought out her RPG.

"Let's reduce this city to rubble!" she shouted.

Kestrel was able to continue blasting Ronin away from afar for quite some time, the zebras not being able to retaliate as he picked them away without remorse. The griffin would find though, that after the first shot the yellow dragon symbol of The Ronin appeared above his mini-map, and that further kills started to cause a yellow semi-circle covering the upper half of the mini-map to start filling, a new symbol being created each time it filled completely. Soon enough, five symbols were above the map, enough to cover the upper portion completely. And that’s when he heard an increasingly loud 'whop whop whop' sound start filling the air...

Turning around, he found himself facing three of what looked like those propeller-driven earth pony flying machines, but bigger, badder, more heavily armored, and with a nasty-looking chain gun and two rocket pods. The flying machines were all yellow, and bared Ronin insignia. The Ronin apparently decided that they mean business.

Cross and Lightning walked into the Rim Jobs, the unicorn brazenly stepping up to the desk and asking, neigh, demanding that they’d repaired his vehicle. The manager said sure, but he’d need to see some bits first. That’s when Cross blew out a ceiling light with his Pimp Cane and said told the manager that he’d pay them by not killing everyone in the shop, with Lightning reluctantly backing him up with his assault rifles. The manager hesitantly agreed, and ordered the workers to start doing work on Cross’ car. But when the two turned their backs away, just for a moment, alarms started going off in the store and three stars suddenly appeared on the top of their mini-maps. Moments later they could hear the sounds of...some kind of siren fast approaching. The mechanical work done to Cross’ car was only half done.

Kes turned around at the sound of the incoming attack helicopters. His cold, hard eyes glaring up at them as he studied their construction. They seemed tough. Armored. Hell even dangerous.

    Finally.

Kes brought his rifle around and stuck it to his back. Time to do this. This world seemed to follow strange rule, he doubted it would hinder him for doing this. Not like he would let it stop him from trying.

His plan locked in his mind Kes took off running. Trying his best to get up to full speed before Jumping off the building and spreading his wings. Just in time to roll to the side and avoid an incoming missile.

If the blast wave was anything to go by, Kes was pretty sure he would NOT survive a direct hit.

In flight Kes used his wings to propel himself forward, dodging fire and such as he went. Damn these guys sucked at aiming. When he got close enough to his first target the gryphon struck.

The Simulation told him how to get into the cockpit of the Helicopter, he just used that knowledge to instead rip the cockpit open and drag the driver out and send him falling to his death. Climbing into the pilot seat Kes maneuvered the chopper to backwards, locking his targeting computer onto the closest one before firing two missiles at it.

It went up in a very nice fireball.

By now the other chopper was turning around to try and shoot the gryphon and his newly acquired ride out of the sky. It proved to be a fatal mistake; Kes had been hoping the pilot would do just that.

Leaning the chopper forward and activating the main gun Kes prepared himself for the stunt to come. It was stupid. Dangerous. Crazy.

    Awesome.

Once he got close enough Kes bailed from his ride, letting the chopper propel itself towards its own demise. The blades of his chopper, angled just as they were, began to slice into the hardened steel of its twin. Tearing the other chopper apart with ease causing yet another massive explosion in the sky.

Kes on the other claw, was currently on the ground staring up at the Ronin vehicles as they exploded and crashed to the ground with a near defining screech of metal and asphalt; having flown down there not moments before the crash.

'Hn, Rookies.' Kes thought, silently turning away and walking towards where he had parked his bike. Which was luckily on the other side of the building from the burning scrap.

“Yeah! Exactly! Trust me, when they shot at me, I was as surprised as you!” she shook her head in mild dismay. “That’s why we need to go back and respond.”

She nodded to Scrap when he drove up and climbed out of his car. “Sure you can. No harm in having more firepower,” she grinned.

Zestari looked up at the bed of Wheelsie. And then back to the bike. Maybe if the three of them lifted the bike they could get it in? Or perhaps use a ramp and drive it up and in? She rubbed her chin in thought. Lifting it was probably easiest, though. “We’ll lift it. Bakewell and I will lift from down here, Scrap could you climb in the back and use your magic to help telekinise it up?”

When Bakewell mentioned seating arrangements, Zestari looked at Scrap, and smiled. “You can sit in Bakewell’s lap. I’ll take the passenger seat.” She gave a scandalous grin. “Besides, you’re a couple now, you should relish such opportunities.”
